Does anyone have a mod for god mode?

Hello, does anyone have a mod or a way to activate god mode. I am used to playing Oblivion and Fallout3 with very realistic fight scenes. Every time I swing my sword in this game, I get all kinds of notification that I'm striking too fast, or not correctly, and it is ruining the game. I'm constantly surrounded by goons that I can't kill. This game needs a console badly.

You get these notifications only during the prologue which is tutorial. It provides you with all kind of necessary info about the gameplay, journal, interaction with NPCs, etc. As soon as you start with Act I you won't get these messages, then you have to do everything on your own. There are a very few the exceptions when you do something for the first time like bribing or you learn a new sign.God mod ruins the game, believe me. You will get used to the combat mechanics. You need to chain your attacks. You click on your opponent and everytime you see the flaming sword
you click on your enemy again. Here you find more about controls.GL

IMO the Witcher's combat is a LOOOOOOOOT more realistic than Oblivion's or Fallout 3's.

If you think you know everything already and don't need the tutorial, you can turn it off on the options screen.

This game needs patient and intelligent players who know a tutorial when they see one. :D

Well, if the console version ever does come out, I will buy a console just for The Witcher. But never mind.If you are an Oblivion player, you are used to a combat style that allows a kind of button mashing. I love Oblivion, but it's sword mechanics are very basic--a one-chop deal, really. TW requires a bit more attention to timing, which is why the devs added a tutorial. You can't buttonmash your way through this game, and you wouldn't want to. The motion-capture fighting is very good for this type of rpg, especially if you use a lower camera angle to see the details (like an idiot, I played the entire game in high isometric the first time through and missed a lot). As Corylea and Petra Silie said, don't sweat the tutorial in the game's prologue. It's very short, and you can turn off the hints if they distract you too much. The hints are important, though, so it is worth your time to sit through them. The biggest mistake I made with the combat was to keep clicking the attack button without letting Geralt follow through with the strike. I was effectively resetting him to the beginning of his attack over and over again. You have to keep clicking, just not that fast.

... and if you missed a tutorial message or you were distracted or whatever and then you don't know how to do this or that, in the GUI you find a flag "Tutorial" to look up interactions, etc.

Hehehe, I like it when the say The Witcher is for intelligent gamers, not slashing and firing at anything that moves hoping to hit something.

I personally use this game for slashing fun only. I mean, these days... I've played The Witcher so many times, I have memorized my sequence of gameplay and dialogue together. Now, can I be blamed? That is all that's left for me after so much playing... that and the forum really... :peace:

It's called a Trainer buddy... Use it if clicking when the sword is on fire is too complicated for you.
