Does anyone know if the Witcher 2 redkit can be used to edit W3 files?

specifically those that are encrypted and can't be opened because the modkit is a woeful piece of shit that can't edit anything. (ie those unbundled with quickbms)

No the files are unsupported
atleast not the textures or meshes. you might be able to assign materials or textures via hex editor

eh the mod kit isnt; bad some hitches are there but its not too difficult work with.

The issue is I want to edit files that aren't available for export with the modkit. ENV's, .w2ent, ect.

I do think we will still get a Redkit for the Witcher 3, but only after they have released their paid expansions. So probably somewhere in the first quarter of 2016. Then you will be able to edit or create the things you do want to create. So have to wait another half year probably. Or maybe simply give up on The Witcher 3 as its not sure they will release the Redkit and they really do their best to stay quiet about it and annoy the community with their silence.
