I don't why, but even when I have 3000 armor, it doesn't feel much different than 100 armor, is it just me? Playing on hard difficulty.

I would be dead a long time ago if it wasn't for my OP katana and Arasaka polycarbonate bulletproof aramid vest with 30% crit damage and 25% armor. Cause i'm still at low level but get a decent chance against "red skulls" that would one shot me if it weren't for this.

i have dropped the missions and went on a exploration instead. it gives me a lot more immersion.

It depends on the incoming damage. With my char having a lot of armor and 20 tech I can just walk right through bullet-fire without even getting a scratch, but if there is someone doing non-physical damage I die pretty fast.

I know it makes a huge difference when blocking meele attacks... I was able to beat 4/4 Boxers when i loaded all my armor with armidillo mods... but it didnt save me from the damage when i didnt block... they still hit me just as hard... but when i blocked.... and had llike 1000+ armor... the stamina bar barley went down...

i believe quoting is replying, but im not 100% on it....
and u had 3.7k armor? and you felt the opposite experience of mine?
I didnt notice much of a difference in damage reduction with bullets or meele... only while blocking meele...

Whats kinda crazy... is there's a legendary shoulder implant that gives 200 armor... but you can make armadillo "armor" mods to slot in your armor that gives 50-100+ armor per slot... and like that 200 armor doesnt really make a big difference? Idk the scaling...

You'd think a unique implant would have more value than a stackable-mod slot on an armor piece...

It should be easy to test. Save the game against a single mob. Go in naked, then with some armor, then in full armor. Check the damage difference.

IDK I feel like a ton of stuff with armor is bugged, crit chance and crit damage mods don't stack but I believe that is on purpose. I heard the speed, fall damage and evasion armor mods don't even work but I haven't tested so I could be wrong. IDK if armor caps or stops scaling well I have 6000 armor and can easily die though I am playing on Very Hard so idk. I really wish the game was harder with smarter ai, the only thing very hard does is make npcs deal more damage but makes no difference because they can't hit anything in the first place...

Armor or health doesn't seem to matter in this game. You can still get flatlined by an exploding car or gas canister no matter how much health or armor you have. More than 50% of the time I get flatlined by a car who rolls over me on the street even though I'm a maxed out tank on legs. Shit game really.

I stopped noticing or caring after I installed cyberware that made me move faster than bullets.

i just tested a bunch of mods. all done on very hard

difference between 280 and 3800 armor results in about twice as long for enemies to kill me

the resistances to elements seem to work as intended, and i've never received any dots from elements that resist them

the +25% damage to high threats had no noticeable effect during my tets

the +damage, +crit damage, +crit % on weapons, does absolutely nothing. doesn't matter if you put one or more than one. in fact, putting 4 had on average lower damage compared to no mods at all

my weapon mod tests were done only on legendary weapons. the fact they all already had, +damage/+crit chance/+crit damage may be why not even one mod affected a change. however the point is moot, since in practice the only weapons your likely to use will already have these bonuses.

another weird effect i noticed was that regardless of the weapon i used, as long as it were a legendary, the damage i was dealing was almost always very comparable, surprisingly so....

Perhaps there is a hidden cap on your armor stat? Maybe level dependent?

Try getting immunities to "elemental" damage types.

With 4000+ armor and all immunities covered I can pretty dance in front of bullets and be fine as long I am taking enemies down.

Enemy Level and Player Level might be a variable too... like WoW... fighting a mob 3 levels higher than you is exponentially harder... I noticed this when fighting skull mobs....

I've been pretty much unkillable for a while now. Enemies hit me for 1 damage if that.
