Doors....

Random question. Can I 'paint' a door in a set in a place where thre was no door initially? As if doors where placeables? I don't need them to open and close, just be there and be 'usable', I'd then set the destiantion waypoints..... I don't remember having seen 'doors' as placeables...Thx!

Sadly, i don't have an answer for you. I tried to do this as well and failed, maybe that fact that 2 of us want to might generate more interest in this question :)

Ummm, I see... thanks... I have another option and it is use the imagination to create portals and furniture that work as doors... but still actual doors are batter....

I came with an idea, I haven't tested it, I won't open the eidtor until saturday, but what about the back of cupboards ? They can look like dungeon doors, that is what I need, and with a bit of decoration and torches lighting :hmmm: ::)

Hi Arkray, I stumbled about this a bit late.So it was mentioned here... :wall:YES, you can place doors as normal placeables, just make a new placeable with a door model and place it somewhere you want, you can make them usable, but you can't open them (no animation for this), in the very first version of my mod I had such a door in the wall that has cut off a room into two pieces and the thing worked with a waypoint and transport to the other side.Btw, search a little bit through all the mdb-files, there are several models, that aren't in the normal placeables lists (even not among the extracted ones), you have to put another placeable in the room and then change the mdb model. ;)

Thanks thanks! Yes, I think I had read about this trick some day, but I had forgotten. I already tried and works ok, now I have to start having 'more ideas'
