Doubters, be assured! CDPR is listening.

The sidebars scattered throughout the Cyberpunk books are some of the best bits of text anywhere... especially the "man on the street interview" bits, they really give you a feel for the world pages of description can't accomplish.

Only place Ripperjack is featured, iirc, and he's great.

Also has the great Into the Net example, which manages to make Netrunning seem fun! Which it would be if the game focussed just on the netrunner...

And the Do Unto Others bit, too...

I liked the bit about the guys sister who was kidnapped by anime posers, biosculpted, then rescued, and decided to keep the look and work as an escort... it was just so bizarre and plausible in that world...

Wuh? Where was that stuff? I've missed something! DX

CDPR listens to us? In that case, I have this awesome idea. So the characters from the PnP game are most likely incredibly familiar to a lot of old players, so CDPR should totally switch up their personalities to make things fresh for everyone. I mean, complete, total overhauls of their personalities that fans would never see coming. That way, we all get the same kind of fresh experience the first time through the game.

And balloons and rainbows! Why do dystopias never have balloons?

Totally switching up is not something I'd like to see personally. When I start up a new character, I want to feel like I stepping into my favourite ass-kicking slippers of doom. Essentially, I know what I love about them already, but the real challenge is to decide what to do with their awesomeness.

This... although to be honest, if the game is a 50 year pregression into the futre from Cyberpunk 2020, I damn sure don't expect any of the Game famous NPC's from the books to still be alive... maybe one of the Arasaka children, or even the old man himself all hooked up to machines (it was stated his body rejected all attempts at cybernetic implantation) totally dependent on them, liek the old man and the bed in Roujin Z. Blackhand, Johnny boy, and most of the "good" npc's died during firestorm. Lundee of militech was stripped of rank and thrown in federal prison, his company taken away from him. Bartmoss playing dunderpoo with the net was a horrible idea and we can hope that whole mess that led to v3 is just swept under the rug and ignored completely like everything else about v3. So who is actually left... Alt and her downloaded consciousness masquerading as a rogue AI is really the only major NPC who could have really survived that long in any viable way. Nomad Santiago was a nomad... they typically don't live that long and don't have the resources to keep up with cybersolututions to aging for the long term. If he is alive, he is one mean old codger by now... possible but not altogether likely.

Murphy and Thompson may still be alive.... but that's really about it...

Although I wouldn't mind finding out what happenned to Adriana Young, the clone from Land Of The Free.

Really I was hoping for a reboot of 2020, only set in 2070, which as a by product would give us the same characters. But that is not the direction they are going.

Okay, this is getting a bit depressing for me, so I'm just going to go ahead and let everyone know that none of my previous posts were serious. They exist for the sole purpose of hurting longtime 2020 fans (OP in particular) by offering awful advice to CDPR that no sane person would ever listen to.

Except for the part about balloons; I really do want balloons. Of course, they can have frowny faces on them if that would make them more Cyberpunk.

In the Witcher 3 forum today CDPR Quest Designer GingerEffect actually participated in a discussion and reacted on posts merely out of his kind-heartedness!!!

Let's all be nice and post interesting stuff and one day it'll happen to us. That CDPReddish blessing!

Oh be gracious good patron of gamers!

Suckers! I was unhurt by 431's not very clever japes and you were taken in! AhahahaH!

Oh, juice! Is it fresh?

Also, Wisdom, I don't think Morgan is dead. Just sayin. We should ask Mike on the QT and then..ask him a lot more.
