Then you only need the Spanish language files.blingerman said:One question: I bought my Spanish copy of the game. As I want to go on with the spanish voices should I download all the files or only a few? i don´t know how much dialogue has changed and the effects it has on non english nor german copies of the game
For the pre-EE version of The Witcher, there's an EU localization "patch" out there on the web, which gives you back the violence, nudity, language etc. that was stripped from the US version. Technically, it's just a couple of files that you copy & paste over the existing ones. It seemed to work for me. Hopefully that existing "patch" will apply to the EE version. Come Friday, I can let you know how it goes, if you'd like.waldo6877 said:Any word on the US EE being Edited or Full Version? I am 31 years old and I for 1 am tired of Edited games! Do not get me wrong I love the Witcher! But I want to play the games I buy as the Developers intended it to be! Not cut up US crap!
Yeah, I'd like to know too. I think there's a bit of confusing with the EE and censorship. What I understand:If I GO TO THE SHOP and buy the EE in America then it will be censored. That is, it will have edited sex cards, and a couple of models removed. If I GO TO THE SHOP and buy the EE in Eurpoe then it will be UNcensored. Boobies in sex cards, all models as originally intended.OTHER THAN THIS, everything is the same. All dialogue is the same. No content is cut. (finishing moves? blood? clarify please?)What I DON'T understand:There is a lot of talk about the EE and 'going by you CD-KEY'. Is this a confusing way of refering to the shop-bought US edition compared to the shop-bought EU, or does this somehow refer to the online '1.4 patch' which will turn an original version of the witcher into the EE?ie. Is there multiple versions of the 1.4 patch to suit the US and the EU copies?ie. Does the 1.4 patch itself contain content that needs censoring? (eg. new or re-done sex cards, new or re-done nude models/textures)Clarification anyone?modul8r said:For the pre-EE version of The Witcher, there's an EU localization "patch" out there on the web, which gives you back the violence, nudity, language etc. that was stripped from the US version. Great that they're keeping us posted, but I think the ESRB will not change the rating. Plus I am impatient. What I would like to know is whether or not I can download EE content from here and apply it to my Impulse-driven installation of TW:EE. The objective is to get the full monty version of the game, along with addons and community created content without needing to rely on the ESRB to approve things, or wait for Stardock to deliver updates (if any).""EDITED to add, I forgot to ask about accessing the registered part of the site (the "Extras" section). How may I register my game with CD projekt here if I bought from Stardock? I keep seeing "This section becomes available only when you’ve logged in and registered your game." when I try to get to the good links on this site. I looked at the registration number I have from Stardock and it doesn't fit in the entry field for game registration on this site. My seiral number code from Stardock's email has this pattern of characters: XXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXX and so it looks like the first block is too short and the last block is too long. Anyway, please allow Impulse customers access to the same parts of the game as everyone else please. Thanks! The ESRB is currently in the process of rating the uncensored version of the game. Once this is complete, assuming CD Projekt makes it available, we will add that to Impulse as an optional update for all those who bought the Enhanced Edition from us.
Trying that now! UPDATE: No, the key I received from Stardock has this format:123-12345-12345-12345-12345-1234567The game registration function has fields that go like:12345678-12345-12345-12345-12345The Stardock/impulse key doesn't work, even if I replace their first three letters with the letters RED. Thanks for trying though. I can play the game, censorship and all, but I'd really like to be able to play the game as if I had bought the disk, and be able to get the registered-only content from this site like anyone else that bought the game (outside of Stardock and Steam).Seeker said:@ Aesir RisingI should start like this Red then the nubers you got as a reg key
Is this true????????????????????I have said before I want my games as they were intended to be! ESRB rating is great and all but, I feel that if it has to be cut to be put on shelves at least give the buyer the option of downloading the uncut version!I think the game is awesome and it should be played as it was created! Do the same for the witcher 2! Hell God of war, and Conan has a lot of nudity! For that matter The Guy Game was rated M and it had nothing but Nudity! Mortal kombat has tons of Blood and Fatalitys that are just awesome! I am just trying to make a point that The Witcher is Rated M and with Nudity and more blood and guts it should still remain the same! We are not Children! We are Adults! You are carded before you can even buy an M rated game so what is all the fuss!WE WANT UNCUT VERSIONS! If the above Quote is true and it does get released then I will be the first one to shut my mouth! I also would like to say I appreciate all the work you all have done to make an awesome game! I definatly will be the first one in stores buying The Witcher 2 and 3 and 4! Even if it is Censored (Which I completely Dislike). The ESRB is currently in the process of rating the uncensored version of the game. Once this is complete, assuming CD Projekt makes it available, we will add that to Impulse as an optional update for all those who bought the Enhanced Edition from us.
Here's a link to the thread where that post was made.http://forums.stardock.com/324359/page/2/#1878729waldo6877 said:Is this true????????????????????The ESRB is currently in the process of rating the uncensored version of the game.
