Downloading pirat version of the game

i have bot the game on steam and registered it on witcher 2 web, but i have sound problems in game i can not hear dialogues, because of this i am going to download pirat version, i hope there will not be such problem . Am i a thief?

p.s.steam support gave me some advise but it does not help!

I dont think the issue will be fixed by you downloading the pirated version in fact i would say its not related at all. And if you didnt buy it and did pirate it i suggest going to the pirate site and follow their instructions.

Problems you have with the Steam copy do NOT justify piracy.

As 227 said, you can get a free backup copy at GoG. You can also seek assistance at the Steam forums, where this topic has already been discussed and solutions provided.

In this particular case, the problem you're having can almost certainly be fixed by downloading the language pack that you need from http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/
