So I got Skyhold. People bitching about the game being too slow really need to get their heads out of their ass and get to that point since bloody hell does the game shove shit in your face. It's actually overwhelming to a degree.

I strongly disagree it's an MMO type game. Is fallout 3 an MMO? is Skyrim? Seems people loved those games, especially that horrible piece of shit that was Skyrim.

Well you're in rare form. You need to learn that people have opinions and yours is just one.

Skyrim doesn't have people sending you out constantly with shopping lists of 10 this, 5 that. They do have those quests but it's not constant.

God I hate collectibles quests. I'm basically just ignoring the meters that come up every few minutes telling me I've got this much of that and that much of this.

About the mages:
I think Fiona's being mind controlled.

Nope, she's just really really cowardly and stupid. I thought the same thing too. Though honestly, I still had my suspicions even after I dealt with the mages, which is why I conscripted their asses, rather than treated them as allies. Trust no one, question everything.

Well, I'm enjoying the game so far but I'm not very far into it yet. I prolly spent an hour fiddling with graphics settings and another hour making my character today :p

btw, does anyone know if there is a way to alter your character's appearance in the middle of the game? There are a couple things I need to tweak.

I haven't seen anything like that, which is why I took so long to make a character. I have three, one with a claymore, one that's a mage, and my actual character, sword and board. Sword and board combat is super satisfying to me this time around.

Remember that Iron Bull sex scene? It turns out it was just the 'beginning' of the romance, this is what we could call a big reveal.

Literally.

That's an Origin issue and dear Lord is that annoying.

@Unkindled: Seeing as the developers themselves stated Skyrim as an inspiration and seeing Skyrim has plenty of collectible stuff in it, then how about yes. Better then that crap any day though.

@Veleda The majority of the metrics are requisition orders, not real quests.

Real annoyance with the bloody game is Bioware is once again retarded when it comes to balance. Oh it's no problem for us to throw a fight that takes you 30 fucking minutes to win after enemies that you crush with ease. No MMO would be retarded enough to do this.

As for the mages:

Like mother like son as they say. Seems she was just as much a bloody moron as Alistair.

Finally here's a shot of Loghain. No spoilers, we all know he's in there:

They ruined his face and his eyes are too light blue.

Well, I'm in as the game was released in my part of the world yesterday. So far I found it pretty (not beautiful and, as expected, rather inconsistent in terms of visual design), fairly boring and not particularly immersive. Then again, I didn't go into the game with a blank slate. Still feels as the most boring 'early game' in a CRPG since, well, Dragon Age II.

Other than that, I'm relying on the reports that things get better later on and hoping for the best.

Are you sure that's Loghain? Kinda looks like him but...

Oh well, at least they did an amazing job with Morrigan.

He doesn't look horrible or goofy. In fact he looks pretty interesting, but not really Loghain.

Seeing as how you have eyes and ears and a brain of your own I assume, how about no? And try using them. Anyone who has played Skyrim knows your statement is BS.

Farcry 3, Assassins Creed 3, Witcher 3.... all said that shit about taking inspiration from Skyrim. None of them are like Skyrim.

I've played Skyrim myself and completed the main story and all the guild stories with the exception of the mages. To claim that there isn't a bunch of collectible crap and repetitive quests in it is BS. Radiant quests bro?

A huge world where you can get lost exploring all the nooks and crannies and finding interesting bits of lore or weapons and armor. It has pacing issues and features terrible balance problems. A game where a lot of people feel the story is not really well done and is a secondary object.

That is Dragon Age: Inquisition and that is also Skyrim and Fallout 3.

Bro? Those radiant repetitive quests don't dot the map and surround you... Most of the quests here in DA I are fetch and barely what I'd call quests. More like tasks. Skyrim isn't like that at all.

Read up on available quests:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Quests

You listen to what other people put in your head if you want, but it makes you sound silly. They do have repetitive quests. But not like this at all.

Somehow I am supposed to believe it matters that Bethesda didn't have it on their map while Bioware did? They all are repetitive and they are fetch quests or collectible quests. You don't need them by the way to advance the game, you need power.

Fuck it at least Bioware doesn't shove randomly generated quests on you. I don't think the requisition orders are randomly generated, rather there is a set amount in every area and the order you get them in is random.

Personally I despised Skyrim because of it's shitty washed out graphics, terrible combat and laughable story along with no real cinematics to speak of.
