@Валькирия Well that's about 40 bucks for it. Quite expensive for Russia.

As a Romanian I feel your pain, but bloody hell do I wish I had your prices. I think you might be better served waiting for a patch and perhaps a discount 1 month from now.

Well it's still cheaper then EU version. Only it does not have english text it it. And russian localization is pretty bad.

I think that's something they might fix actually, or have fixed already. You need to download an optional file in origin for it.

Speaking about characters. I might just romance Dorian. I love the guy already and his viewpoints I quite agree with. That or Josephine. I can't stomach the Iron Bull. Oh the character I'm fine with but my romance tastes tend to be more serious.

@Costin That's just a voiceover, we had it in the first place, since russian VO is nonexistent. Texts are still unavailable, probably to stop people from using VPN to buy games in Russian Origin store for a lower price.

Everyone has a great butt since everyone has a perfect body.

I've played Skyrim myself and completed the main story and all the guild stories with the exception of the mages. To claim that there isn't a bunch of collectible crap and repetitive quests in it is BS. Radiant quests bro?

A huge world where you can get lost exploring all the nooks and crannies and finding interesting bits of lore or weapons and armor. It has pacing issues and features terrible balance problems. A game where a lot of people feel the story is not really well done and is a secondary object.

That is Dragon Age: Inquisition and that is also Skyrim and Fallout 3.
You don't need to do many radiant quests except in the Thieves Guild which I just ignored (and never got the ultimate reward, though I finished the quest line).

Here you have to grind or you can't level or progress the story. When you're more worried about accumulating crap (be that Power or whatever) than completing quest objectives, that's bad. It's what MMO's do. Hence, MMO gameplay.

Everything just takes sooooo long and requires so much filler crap to complete. It's not a bad game, but it's artificially loaded up with useless grindy stuff.

Here's my PC. Her face isn't bad but god, the body model. Of course Sera would get a body model that looks healthy and the Inquisitor looks emaciated with a head that's too big for the rest of her. I just have to mentally edit her appearance so that she's got some meat on her bones.

Dorian is funny but he's so gay, OMG. I guess people like the stereotype. My PC is going to make Solas her man-waifu eventually but they haven't stopped arguing yet. He's stingy with his approval which is fine, that's how I like it.

You don't. The amount of power to gain through main story missions is generally enough to keep you going along with some more important side quests, like getting the horses for the inquisition.

You get power through getting all Landmarks in an area as well. Many of which can be easily acquired without fighting. You need 8 to get Iron Bull, Sera and Viviene and then 15 for either mages or templars. That's 23.

I gained close to six times that number and I did go through all the areas and explored everywhere I could.

I would definetely wait until next year, if you're getting it eventually. That said, if you're as desperate as Princess_Ciri is :p, maybe around Christmas the prize would ve gone down a bit.

Yes, you do. For one thing you can't progress until you've leveled enough to handle the bosses and that requires going out and doing tedious shit because leveling takes forever. And the mechanics are so irritating that this just makes the game a drag.

Example: I'm trying to do Blackwall's fetch quests but I can't find the artifact, and I'm in an area where bears and lyrium smugglers respawn out of thin air every two minutes. So too bad about Blackwall. That's more MMO crap.

I'm not sure about 4chan, but the zeros are wrong for sure. 5.5s are a bit rough, but if you're using a mouse and keyboard, I can understand it. Also, if the streamlined elements bother you, and you don't like the mmo ish aspects, I can understand it. But I think if you accept the game for what it is and not what you think dragon age should be, you can like it. I'm loving it.

You should be able to handle bears. I did as a level six on hard. If not, do what I've said from the start and ignore the enemies around the map and go to your objective spot. Easier with a horse. It's not a big deal at all. Especially not blackwall's quest on stormcoast, which is where it sounds like you are.

I can fight them, but one spawning and another spawning while we're still fighting the first one and all because I'm searching around for a stupid tchotchki to complete a quest. No, that's not happening. edit- And the spawns appear to be endless.

How about the quality of the characters and the writing? Are the on par with DA:O? Are they better than DA2? If so, how much?

Yea they usually come in pairs. I usually have my inquisitor taunt one, then hold him off with shield wall while the rest pepper the other. Have one of your warriors do that.

They're fine. No complaints. I can't say I'm very attached to any of the NPCs, though. I think I understand what Erik Kain meant when he said the writing is good but not compelling. It's not bad as in fanfiction bad (except for that Iron Bull stuff), but at the end of the day you're just doing a job.

You're not listening. Why are you and Costin so determined to defend the game? They were respawning constantly and one after the other, not just in pairs.

Also want to say, I'm glad spawns are endless now. Because animals and enemies drop resources that you can use for crafting. Them being endless is a problem early on, unless you have a horse. Which you can get very early.

NOT WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO FIND A QUEST ITEM. I can't just ride off when I'm searching for something.

But I did walk off, eventually. That quest will just have to stay open.

Anyway, I get it. You enjoy the gameplay, so being forced to do stupid shit doesn't matter as much to you. I'm just trying to open up some dialogues but there's YouTube I guess.

Check your PM. :)

So far I'm 10 hours in on Nightmare (which certainly can be a challenge at times). Definitely a lot of resource grinding and fetch quests so far cause my completionist streak demands it of me. Story looks like it is about to start picking up here soon though. Got some minor gripes, but overall enjoying it. It's definitely a Bioware game through and through.

It's become very clear I need to upgrade my card here, framerate isn't very stable on High settings, but I'm trying to hold out a bit more to see if any word comes in about the 980 ti.
