I never minded munch the short version but this was one of the primary complains with the dialogues in the fandom. And since they will not put exactly what the PC is saying this is the closest people get. They give you an options and it does not affect your gameplay experience so... I really do not see the problem here. Why complain about something you are not going to use but it is useful to other people?
It concerns the picks posted because they indicate an approach to story-telling as well. Bioware give an option to explain glaringly obvious things. It makes sense only if they believe a part of their customers will require such explanation. If nobody would want it, why to waste their time and resources at all? But, if a part of their projected target audience needs such an explanation for obvious options, approach to the story itself should take it into account. Otherwise this part of the target audience will complain that DAI plot is too convoluted, and they do not follow the events and dialogues. It would mean that the story in this game will have to stoop to this level, and to be extremely obvious, and simplistic, something even a child can understand. In other worlds, the exact opposite of a plot of TW2. What complexity of choices and situations should we expect if Bioware feel a need to explain what the simplest and obvious choices entail?
I always want a good story first, and the rest is pretty much secondary. When a story is written with either very young children, or not very smart adults who require explanation of simple dialogue options in mind, it is not going to be any good by my lights. Sure, it may be a great game in term of gameplay, tactical combat, and how many people and creatures of any orientation protagonist can romance. But as long as a story is too simplistic, it is not for me.
