Firstly, let me welcome you to the community.Secondly, please go through some of the old threads before posting a new thread. You're of course welcome to start a new thread if you don't find what you're looking for. :)The dragon issue has been discussed before. It'll be there, as far as I know. As for your query about the video, check the TW2>News for all videos/dev diaries.

I think one of the first videos that got leaked or something showed a dragon terrorizing a fort or something.

As far as we know, the Dragon is one of the boss monster Geralt will face, together with a Succubus, the Draug and the Tentadrake.

Succubus's not a boss ;)About dragon - we're not sure about whether this location + boss have reached final version of TW2. It's very likely, but can't be sure.

I do not think dragons are important -- and they are CLICHE since a very long time [about 1000 years at least] I myself do not think that in all rpg in medieval settings, dragons are a must

There is a hidden clue about the dragon being in the game. At least I think its a clue.Watch the presentation where they show the guards talking and Graldt is in the shackles. One of the guards says something along the lines of "I thought that beast would tare him apart when it came out of the clouds" Now I can only think of 1 beast that can get up around the clouds. But I maybe totally wrong.

True. I'm pretty sure those little monsters can fly. I remember in TW1, wyverns would come down from the sky sometimes. If there are dragons, I wouldn't mind of course.

I dont know if they are in the game but they are definately part of the Witcher world from what I understand. If you recall in the first game I think Dandilion alluded to the fact that Geralt was friends with one. Therefore the possibility certainly exists that dragons could be in this game as either an enemy or as a NPC.

That'll be Villentretenmerth. But don't base your judgement on that fact. After all, in the same story, we learn of Geralt's vow to never fight a dragon. And if there is one in the game, and he fights it, you have a contradiction right there. It might be a really big wyvern, or even a dracolizard or a fortail. Though it looked suspiciously like a rock dragon to me.

The short story with Villentretenmerth is great.I was a little dissapointed that Sapkowski dind't include him in another adventure.

I dunno the dragons name, The only two books available here atm are Blood of Elves and Last Wish. Also would Geralt remember that vow now though or would he honour if he considered it not to be the best course of action any more.I dunno Im just speculating. I guess dragons are a fave in many games because they appear in so many cultures and are often considered by many to be the biggest baddest creature out there in many mythologies - or game universe cultures if you prefer.

agreed. unless they reinvent it. perhaps make it look more like a worm rather than the traditional silly bat wing thing.

Well I guess we now have our answer to this question huh.

And they even linked it back to the story about Villentretenmerth (Three Jackdaws).

Witchers don't hunt or kill dragons, ever. Sapkowski's rule ;)
