Dropping frames/performance after a hour playing.

Hello,

Am i the only one who gets this problem? The game always runs smooth and on steady frames when i just started it and play it for a bit. But like after a hour or less playing i can see the frames are dropping like crazy and my GPU doesn't use its full potential its always fluctuating between 70-80. It doesn't matter what settings i use in the game it just drops performance after a while playing.

This sound like a memory leak. You currently have three options:

1. Restart the game
2. Buy more RAM
3. Wait for a fix

I would go with (1) and (3).

Yea, if i restart the game it works again for a while and after a hour it drops performance again. No idea about the ram tho, didnt they recommend 8GB ram tho.. ?

A memory leak is an error in programming where the application does not free up used memory and therefore keeps consuming more and more RAM. This is an error that can be fixed.

Also, I could be wrong and the issue could be something else.

It's probably a memory leak, and no doubt will be fixed in a future patch. The best, and really only, thing to do is just periodically restart your computer. You need to do it less if you have more RAM. Whether or not you consider it worthwhile to get more so you can play longer is up to you, but RAM is typically pretty cheap, and 16, or 32, is a good investment regardless. Might also want to close any unnecessary programs you have running, especially any browsers, and the tabs therein. They can hog a lot of resources.

Yes, thanks for all the help all! I've been browsing myself and i saw alot of people having the exact same issue, i guess we have to wait and untill then keep restarting the game i guess..

Have the same thing happening.

Ryzen 7 3700X
16GB 3600MHz RAM
RTX 3070
Game's on an MVMe M.2
playing at 2560x1440

Usually have 70-80fps with minor drops below 60 in dense areas. (Ultra, no Ray Tracing). And then it drops to 50-60, 40ish in dense areas.
But even when it's above 60, it still feels choppy, like the frame times are bad... until I restart. Quicksaving and reloading also helps, but only for a few minutes.

i7 9700k @5,0Ghz (@ 70 - 80 % so no Bottleneck) at around 60°
16GB 3200Ram
RTX 3070 (Drops from 80 - 90% Usage to 60% after a while) at around 60°
M2
1440p

I have this drops after i entered the Menu(Inventory, Map). Did reinstall Driver etc. but nothing helps.
Think I just have to wait for it to be patched
It sadly kills the fun i have with the game

Me too. After long period of gaming (>1 hour) my gpu usage decrease from 98% to 74% resulting lower fps.

My system:
i7 8700k @5.2 ghz
16 GB of DDR4 3600 mhz CL15
Rtx 3080
1440p 144hz

DDU driver and reinstall it gives no result.
