Dun Banner and Dandelion

I think, I found a technical issue with this mechanic.

Dun Banner reads:
Whenever Dun Banner receives a boost, Summon all copies of it from your deck to this row.

Cause of "whenever", "all"/both Dun Banners should be summoned from the deck when boosted by Dandelion's either Inspired or the Order ability.

But this is not what is happening. Dun Banner needs to be boosted while on the battlefield in order to summon remaining copies.

If this is supposed to stay this way, maybe we could update the description of Dun Banners?

Summon all copies of it from your deck to this row.
How could this apply to cards in the deck? Cards in the deck are not on either row.

Wouldn't exactly make any sense, anyway, if boosting something while it's in the deck could summon more than the card itself, because cards in the deck never summon more than themselves.

Maybe to the row of the unit that boosted Dun? - eg. Dandelion.

I feel like it would be good to rewrite "whenever" to "if boosted while on battlefield".

Tridam Infantry will not hit enemy unit if boosted in the deck, but it says it will do so "whenever".

Edit:
There could also be a new keyword that refers to "if on the battlefield".

If you have a Dun Banner on the board, then you boost the one in your deck. The one in the deck will then pull the one from the board back into your deck. :D
(well not really but would be cool, lol)

Non-constructive pun incoming . . . Dundelion!

Now, a more serious reply: I suppose the description could be adjusted to 'While on battlefield, whenever Dun Banner receives a boost, summon all copies of it from your deck to this row'. That said, I think the mention of the row fairly implies that it must already be on the batlefield.

The description is fine, every action has a DEFAULT behavior, in the case of units they have to be on the battlefield, when their ability does something while in the deck, hand or graveyard it is specified on the card, acting like an exception to that default rule.

Probably all actions have an implied default use, even dealing damage, you can have random damage or damage a unit of your choice, however for the latter that is the default, even though the description says "damage a unit" you get to choose, unless it explicitly says it's random.

One thing i pointed out back in beta regarding the same principle was the drawing of cards, there were some abilities that said "draw the top card of your deck", again this is redundant, you always draw the top card of your deck by default, unless specified otherwise.

Which is not "whenever", that is my point.

That applies to several cards which would definitely enjoy a description update.

It is always annoying to find out during a ranked match that what you thought is going to work, is not working the way you planned it.

I do not think this is going to be addressed - just like Letho Kingslayer never was for so long already - but this would certainly benefit the game. Gwent is quite complex and card descriptions, IMO, should be as accurate as possible.

back to the topic "gwent the game you can only learn by playing because there are no rules to reed"
sadly they cared well to late about standart wording. You can not even conclude from other ccgs. Asking in the forum is the best way to clarify things.

Regarding the dun banner, i guess op is long enough in the game to endure a pun.
guess on which row they should summon if still in deck? the still in deck row? perhabs they are, you just can't see it because all card in the deck are face down.
