Dvarwen Armor Fragment

Crafting system in this game is very iritating. I did the Sisters quest differently, I got the schematic for a "Mahakamn Sihil" and it requires "dvarwen armor fragment" - when can I find it? I don't remember ever seeing such a thing. Dvarwen Armor Enhancment does not feet here.

According to the witcher wiki it`s found as loot on a demon during the little sisters quest and if i remember you cannot side with Maverick .

You can get the demon if you side with Mavrick but then play the fight with the "Sisters" so badly that they manage to kill him

Seems that you can obtain it even when letting Maverick be killed by the demon-bruxa.

First time you're able to get one is in Act I, when looting the home of Einor Gauslen in Flotsam - the dwarven book salesman opposite the smithy - furthermore you'll find some in Vergen when doing Iorveth's path, you'll find one in the center of the Three Fathers building, in a chest. Good luck!

No; those are Dwarven Enhancements. They're very nice, but they're not what is needed.

To craft a Mahakaman Sihil, you must have a Dwarven Armor Fragment; nothing else, not even a Dwarven Enhancement, will do.

The Demon that you may encounter in "Little Sisters" is the only known source of this item.

No, he isn't. I have killed that Demon several times now, and he never drops armor fragment. I can loot from him the schematic that requires the dwarven armor fragment every time I try, but not the dwarven armor fragment itself, which I am looking for.

Maybe you would like to try a mod that adds a 100% dropping chance to all lootable items found on monsters... http://witcher.nexusmods.com/mods/88 you can remove it again after you got the fragment.
Also the "all items added to innkeepers"-mod should work. http://witcher.nexusmods.com/mods/275

I've looked in my guide and the wiki, and I can't find where this item can be looted.

I don't get it; why would you get a schematic for a chapter 1 level weapon in chapter 2?

The Mahakan (Rune) Sihil is the weapon that carries over from The Witcher 1 save; it's the 100% sword you can get from the dentist.

This is a different sword which sort of has the same name... stupid as it is ;-)

There are two different swords, similarly named, that are easily mixed-up. Mahakaman Rune Sihil, or G'valchir, is the sword carried over from TW1. There is another sword, the schematic for which can be found in Chapter 2 (Roche), and it is confusingly named only Mahakaman Sihil.

Judging by stats, Mahakan Rune Sihil and Mahakan Sihil are two different weapons. Mahakan Sihil, if crafted, would be the best weapon for ch2 on Roche part, outshadowed by ch3 swords. An eqivalent of Gwyhyr of the Iorweth' side.

There is no other source, so the Demon is still the only source, even if it is an unreliable one. Anyway, I was more concerned in my post with distinguishing the relatively common Dwarven Enhancement from this exceedingly rare item.

You are sure of this? I mean, you have looted it from the demon or seen it in game scripts?

The Mahakaman Rune Sihil is importable from a Witcher 1 save if I am not mistaken, I cannot remember right now if it was Gwalhir or D'yaebl. I have both the rune sihil and Aerondight imported from my Witcher 1 save. Hope this helps, however I must state that I am still playing in Flotsam and am on my way to see Iorveth.
