DVD Rom no longer reading disks, how to download?

Unfortunately, the DVD rom in my laptop has been on the fritz and is no longer reading the Witcher 2 disks. To make matters worse, I did not activate my CD key with Steam or any other online service. Is there any way to install the Witcher 2 via download?

Wait until April 17th. Then we can activate our retail CD-keys on http://www.gog.com/ and get a downloadable copy of the game

Will that work even though mine's already been activated with the installer?

Yeah, I think so They stopped using that old installer due to technical issues. I think any legitimate CD-key will work for the GoG thing even if we entered it into the installer as well

Ward Dragon is correct . ANY valid cd-ky will work for the GOG version starting on the 17th .
