dx12 on win7

There is no DX12 for Win7. Microsoft didn't make it, so CDPR cannot ship it.
If you want DX12, you have to update windows, sorry.

Men they literally say that the game is compatible with win7 in their web.

But then only if you've got direct 12, that mean it has to be some way to get direct 12 on win7

Did you do the online installation with Galaxy or the offline (104 GB) ?
The online doesn´t bring DX12 to Win7, but I´ve heard the offline will do the trick.

EDIT : Not working with the offline installation s. Post below

Got a source for that? Cos I'm getting the GPU crash/DX12 error but I'm reinstalling through Galaxy now. Please don't tell me I need to download a 104gb offline installer?

Sorry don´t waste your time with that - I´ve just checked it out myself.
First inst was Win 7 with Galaxy - Runtime Error.
Second was Win 7 with Offline 104 GB - Runtime Error.
So wrong lead.
But still, where are the needed DX12 installtion files for CP2077 and Win 7 ?
(I have dual boot with Win10 so I could still play, but with uncustomizable Keybindings it´s still a bust :( )

There aren't separate DX12 files for Win 7, because Win 7 doesn't support DX12.

What Microsoft have done is basically provide certain developers a DX12 wrapper that they can code for their games to "emulate" DX12 features in Windows 7. It's provided by Microsoft to developers on a case by case basis. There's no need for customers to install anything but the game.

The trouble is, it looks like CDPR have not coded it very well.
