What a terrible crowd of console prats! As for the gameplay, it looks kinda like the Witcher 2. The animations look like they still need some work, so I can see why they decided to delay the release. We'll need to see more gameplay I think, it was too short!

Well, Jesse kinda summed it up
Jesse Cox: "audience for this conference summed up: real Witcher 3 gameplay, mild applause. Trailers and pre-rendered vids, people lose their shit."

Twitch just ditched Hotline Miami 2 because MS took too much time with their post briefing.

Ubisoft also has a post briefing after which, TW3 should begin, please tell me that the same won't happen for Witcher 3.

Just watched it (you can just scroll back in the stream). It was way too short and it didn't look very impressive. They say it's open-world but not once did they go off the beaten path, which eventually did lead them to the griffin, which makes it all seem so very linear.

I want to see more, because I feel what we just saw doesn't do the game justice. I'm sure The Witcher 3 will be much more awesome than this short and mediocre presentation makes it seem to be.

What are you talking about?! What I was was excellent, not enough to convince me it will be good but the I liked what I saw. Let's hope DA:I is as good.

They didn't go off the path because their time was short as shit, and only so MS could show something. With the time they had they couldn't do much anyway. If already cramped the inventory and the short cuts into the little time they had. I'd say they did the best they could.

Hm, I agree, that the transitions between animations were a bit janky. Second thing I missed was the fur of the horse, but I guess it was XBox. So we will see.

Cheers for vid StaGiors, as usual I missed everything but i'm impressed, the new movement system over the terrain seems fluid. I think the Witcher senses are a bit too blatant, i'd prefer to look for sign like you do in real life or the Vizima graveyard, putting clues together with a Witcher's centuries of experience. The combat has everything I wanted in it, more dodge options, backing up and circling your opponent like in Severance. Thanks for listening devs and cheers for thread folks, the upper forums are a bit too crowded for me, nice to find all the important stuff in one place.

I didn't watch it all because I'd like to avoid spoilers, but I saw them stopping to do a side quest- how is that linear??

The side quest was on the linear path that they followed.

The entire demo can be summed up with:

Walk on path, prepare for combat (ala TW2), continue following path, shoot griffin (which then flies off into a "random" direction), continue following path, random encounter (side quest), beat random bandits, continue following the path until the end, which is where the griffin conveniently waits, kill griffin (half of it was a cutscene, not actual combat), the end.

Yes, that's linear as hell. It couldn't be more linear.

It's idiotic how short The Witcher 3 presentation was and whoever is the blame for it should feel ashamed for giving this amazing game so little time. Those 3-5 minutes that The Witcher 3 got was definitely not enough to show the full potential of this game. The presentation felt rushed and we only saw a bit of combat and the devs walking over a linear beaten path. People who don't know a lot about The Witcher 3 or CD Projekt RED will now have a completely wrong impression of the game. I already heard some of my more ignorant friends say that The Witcher 3 looked boring and not as impressive as they hoped it would look, and I fully understand why they feel that way, because I felt the same way about the presentation, but as a fan who follows CD Projekt RED closely I know that the presentation did not do the game justice at all. I know The Witcher 3 will be awesome and that CD Projekt RED will deliver, but my ignorant friends don't know that, and the mediocre short presentation didn't sell the game for them.

It's a joke, relax. ^_^ I know crossbows can be an useful implementation, and a welcomed entry for certain players.

So, anyway Sid made a monster, and the chat went mad. @sidspyker what have you done.

True. Sorry about that. I actually like that meme. But i just don't understand why some people hate the crossbow. And if by some reason someone has a trauma with crossbows. Guess what! You don't need to use it.
I'm afraid of fire and i never use the Igni sign.
