The only thing I care about seeing anymore is the game's splash screen.

Whatever is going to be released is going to be released. There are going to be some, right after E3, who think that what we see is "not enough". Hopefully we can take away some really good '77 info and other things, but ultimately I just want CDPR to ease up the speculation. Give us official statements with reasons for people who don't know much about 2077 to set up time and get excited for it. Many people, fans mainly, are using this time to set up their finances, streams, and schedules for 2077, and it's based on where things go after E3. I know it's going to take up a lot of my time, and dear gawd...

If a "Gwent-like" 2077 game comes out, then that's just....

Well that's called obsession and it's nice to have this time to prepare my body.

I would just love to be able to stop speculating about so many things. :shrug:meh.

I expect to see lots of stuff.

As some people in this forum, I'm worried this game won't turn out to be a real RPG and the gameplay we saw last year did nothing to ease this concern - on the contrary.
So I hope we get to see a lot of mechanics regarding the RPG aspect of this one:

- Character creation: please, show us everything about this;
- Character customization: clothes (how they affect our model and status), tattoos, cyberware, body modifications, augmentations, etc;
- Social skills and how they work;
- More npc interactions and more options on interacting with them (I was kinda disappointed with the lack of them on the demo - is it all we will have on the final game? I don't think so, so show us what has improved);
- Skills, perks, statuses.

Regarding gameplay, I wanna see how much it has evolved from the FPS they showed us:

- Melee combat: some katana fighting skills or knife fighting, street brawls, anything about this would made me happy;
- Stealth gameplay and its options and cover gameplay as well: as others have said "is it in the game?" I really hope so. On addition, I hope there is a non lethal, non aggressive approach from the beginning, for the sake of replayability.

There are a lot of other things I'd be glad to see but don't really expect, such as:

- Some Asian district, with architecture similar to Tokyo architecture, with Asian mob, Yakuza, etc;
- Motorbikes;
- Relationships (are they even in the game?);
- Corpo ascension;
- Law enforcement, such as that badass team in the first teaser trailer back in 2013;
- Psychological effects of too much Braindance.

Something in the PnP game of Cyberpunk that was a thing was no levels.
While, I don't expect this to have been implemented instead of what we saw in the last demo, I'd still love to see it.

There's a lot that could be done from a role play perspective if it were.
For instance, instead of a cartoon system of numeric level floating over a character's head when you scan them, that could be replaced with your character's personal subjective threat assessment of that character.
Street cred, reputation, cool, or whatever it finally gets called can play into the background math of how your character perceives another based on your own character's reputation, accomplishments, skills, etc.
Depending on how you build your version of V, absolutely everyone could look and appear super deadly threatening, or, if your V is a big dumb tank, your V could be like the drunk frat boy at the pub that thinks he can fight the whole world.
That sliding scale of subjective perception based on how your character is built, and how your character sees and experiences the world of Night City would, IMO, be absolutely phenomenal as opposed to; "oh, they're level 9000 and I'm level fetch quest, so ... smh.

Getting into your character's head space from your character's perspective, based on your character build would certainly add to an element of immersion, and, you could learn a lot of lessons the hard way if your character SEES or perceives an enemy as a pushover, but, in actuality only LOOKS that way due your character's over confidence, and, once that lesson is learned, your character's perception can reflect that lesson learned.
The same goes for the opposite perspective; if something looks super deadly threatening, you might steer your character toward a more stealthy approach, or spend time asking around town, researching, and learning about how hard the target actually is, and depending on how easy/hard things turn out, threat assessments adapt.

I like the idea of a world where your character doesn't know who dafuq "those" people over there are ... until your character actually investigates who they are, or, has experience enough in the world to know, and/or asks someone.
You're given a job to go wipe out bad-guy-gang B.A.D, and you show up where they all conveniently had "B.A.D" floating over their heads, BUT, what if you were lied to? What if B.A.D. is an undercover police surveillance operation? Does your character still see everyone with a floating "B.A.D." or, do they automatically know ... for reasons, that they're actually police?
It begs question, and it's a mechanic that could play into a lot of fun with perception, and deception.

That could also play into your character's broader and more specific knowledge of the world. As you explore and experience more of Night City, your character could pick up on and recognize things like gang colors, affiliations, rivalries, etc., and perhaps pick up on that recognition via an NPC name change from "pedestrian bystander" to "suspiciously resembles Scav affiliation".

Your character doesn't recognize that enemy XZY is carrying a Kruzer Automatic 8.97 pew pew Limited with a damage of BOOM and a handling of AHHHHH unless your character has invested points into being a gun nut that can recognize any one of 31 dozen teen hundred types of guns on sight, has experience with that gun, or, takes it to a dealer that can tell you WTF it is.

I'd love to see that.
I don't however, expect to see that.
I expect we'll still see cartoon level numbers, and immediate recognition of people under a label despite having never seen them ever even once, and, I'll accept that, and deal with it, and still enjoy the game when it comes out, but, it'd sure be nice if numbered levels were tossed to the curve, and a more character subjective perspective experience were explored.
After all, wasn't something like that part of the point of setting the game in a hard First Person Perspective?

eh.
2 cents.

I feel you, bro, but unfortunately "a traditional level system" has been already confirmed. The only hope left is that activities, enemies and items won't be gated by the small magic immersion-breaking number above our heads, opposite to TW3.
I'm pessimistic about that (the number of action RPG using this system has increased in the last few years thanks/due to TW3), but there's still hope. I really hope they'll address this at E3, but I fear these things will be described in details only by reviewers at release, as it was for TW3.

At the very least, after E3, they will probably be more willing to answer questions like this if we ask them, instead of saying "can't talk about this yet."

I imagine (and should think) the game will be in a much more finished, close-to-real state by that point, and fewer unknowns exist. If they're still saying stuff like "this massive part of our game is 100% subject to change" at this year's E3, I'll be super concerned.

Well, considering this recent interview in Kotaku, CDPR has stated they really begin proper production of the game in 2015 and ...;

“From a wider perspective, we need to remember that the whole production takes, say, four years, sometimes five years, and most of the time, like three years, there’s no crunch,” said Badowski. “There’s no additional hours. Sometimes before E3 [we crunch], but most of the time the production is super normal. We are talking about the very last round towards the release".

... so, if one does the arithmetic, 2015 + 4 years development = 2019, or, if you want to be conservative, add another year for a 2020 release date?
That, or course, is hopeful speculation, based off of word fishing from the referenced interview, but, hey, we can hope it's near enough completion that some more substantial "yes" or "no" answers can get trickled down official channels in response to our over-eager questions.

:)

That's true, I'm not used to this, but these guys actually answer our questions when they are allowed to do so.

Something about the music would be right I suppose. Like why not, isnt "Music what has not heard before" one of the selling points?

I never played Gwent, both in-game since In ever played Witcher games and never "for real" (at Gamescom, digitally, privately, whatever). But I think I'd heavily invest into a CP version of it and even play it beyond a pure private level at expos / fairs or whatever, if it is an interesting game.

It's free, just download it and give it a little attention. It's great, I'm not even hardcore into Gwent. I just want a Cyberpunk side game type thing that could be played quickly like on a bus or at work/school or if your bored/waiting on something. Something that happens quick and doesn't have to stay running like a desktop game. If it could help explain lore and gave us ideas of what characters to expect then it would help ease the speculation and non stop questioning.

Plus it would give people an outlet to hype the game even more through streaming the gameplay, trying to complete it before '77s release, and may evolve into something that has e-sport potential like Gwent does.

There is something going on with mobile/minigame appeal because of past job postings and "Spokko". It may not be addressed at E3 and it may not be anything important, but I have hopes.

Something else I’m eager to know more about, hopefully at E3 otherwise when possible, is the music. What’s the game soundtrack like? How’s the world music like? How much punk, rock, metal, industrial, synthwave, vaporwave, ambient, hip-hop, trip-hop, folk, etc. is there? Apart from Brian Mantia and Melissa Reese, are there any more artists that are collaborating with Marcin Przybyłowicz? How are the rockerboys/girls like (Lizzy Wizzy and the Metadwarves, Johnny SIlverhand,...)? How contextual is it? Do every faction have their own theme? Is Percival back and are they using turntables and synthesizers this time around? (That last one is a joke :coolstory: Not that I’m against electrofolk-ish music in CP2077)

There are so many things I want to know o_O

It blows my mind how no one gives a fu** about looting and inventory, that's my number one worry is that the world won't have much shit to pick up and collect.
This is one of the pros of First person RPGs for me, going up close and seeing everything there is too pick up and loot, going through apartments and stealing peoples stuff, finding hidden rooms in some corpos suite and access them with higher level hack upgrades etc.

That sort of thing is usually what you see in a Bethesda RPG, not a CD Projekt Red RPG. They aren't big on physics objects in the environment that can all be picked up/manipulated. I don't think their engine is equipped to handle it.

That said, don't worry, there will be tons of random stuff for you to pick up, if The Witcher 3 is anything to go by. But it will probably be from containers, not just on the ground/table/etc.

Obviously Night City at night.
Verticality of level design.
Stealth gameplay options.
RPG/skill element of gameplay.
More Trauma Team action.

Most of this is expected to be in the game. Show me these and something new.

I hope to see a Resident Evil 2 Remake style item interaction. Being able to pick various things over time whether useful at the time or not and being able to view it, and interact to discover new and various functions for each item if needed. I think the Bethesda style is rather a waste of time of development just for checking a box type of feature, but rather useless I think.

Now my hope is simply to be able to see the public presentation at E3 without needing to fly 10k km to LA.
