BTW, how do you post gifs here? I've failed so many times...
Ah, but can't you post them directly copying a link from google? Do I really need to download them every time?View attachment 11033114
Come and listen! You just post them as any other image (the portrait icon next to the smiley face). They key to those is though, you have to choose gif files that aren't too big. I can't remember the file size specifically, but the one above is 664 kb. I think a MB might be the cutoff.
I'm considering it after sony has decided to bring its excluxives on steam (= you can play everything, including MS exclusives, on the same machine), but the idea of wasting my time in learning how to build a properly gaming pc and then in fine tuning games, drivers compatibility issues and whatnot, including the fact I would end up spending whole salaries to upgrade my rig because I'm never satisfied with anything, it's still stopping me.Stop stressing about consoles.

No. If you just copy them, they will show up as an image instead of a gif.Ah, but can't you post them directly copying a link from google? Do I really need to download them every time?

If it will dispel your fears I'll offer a tidbit. "Building" a gaming PC requires minimal knowledge. You're basically taking parts and slapping them together. If you can screw in a light bulb you can probably build a gaming rig. The only minor complexity is ensuring compatibility between parts and observing appropriate safety (mostly for components).but the idea of wasting my time in learning how to build a properly gaming pc and then in fine tuning games, drivers compatibility issues and whatnot, including the fact I would end up spending whole salaries to upgrade my rig because I'm never satisfied with anything, it's still stopping me.
that's what I meant, not the DIY partThe only minor complexity is ensuring compatibility between parts and observing appropriate safety (mostly for components).

None of my friends game on PC so for anything multiplayer, my go to is Xbox. Even if all games go crossplay, I like having the separation. I have little self control with PC games and modding/"cheating" so I'll sometimes buy the same game on Xbox and PC to force me to play vanilla before playing moddedStop stressing about consoles.

We already discussed it in another thread. Here's the summary by NightCityLife from reddit:![]()

Interview in German.![]()
Hi, I will summarize it for you and update my post (sorry, early morning here):
Employees could decide if they wanted to pick up their workstations for home office or get them delivered
There was an massive IT delivery service where nearly over night hundreds of cars brought PCs, controllers and such to each one at home
Philipp Weber said he could start working like before within 2 hours after he received his workstation
The way they work on the game/assets hasn't changed that much. They use a VPN to connect to the main data server and can download the stuff they want. If parts of the game get changed, some members of the team will "check-in" to that content/material and others will notice
Changes and improvements for newer updates of the game can get downloaded solely, so they don't need to load the whole game again.
Philip Weber also works for HR, so they had to scale back interviews face to face and did them online, too.
Quarantine also hit a new quest designer and she needed to be isolated just after her arrival in Poland before she even started to work.
They have an internal chat system so they can stay in touch
Philipp got to know the newest crew member of the quest team just by chat and played Cyberpunk via stream to show her their design routines and standards. Newer team members like her also got the task to chat regularly with designers from the different teams to get to know them
They got regular online meetings and have something like pinterest where they show the progress of the game, new artwork, new features - sometimes even as a GIF - to the rest of the team.
Nearly every hour the system directly transforms the development version into the playable version of the game
Senior Level Designer said that some changes are really small. He just killed a bug about elevators. The elevator cabin did not stop on the same level as the floor so there was a little step left, when you left the elevator. He changed that so all would be on the same level. The data changed was really a small file.
Sometimes they use hacks or bend the boundaries of the develeopment systems to make things work easier/faster
Miles Tost wanted to allow players to have a Batman feeling in a certain area of the game. He wanted the player to feel sneaky. powerful and undetected by enemies. Usually the enemies would have seen/heard the player in that moment anyway so he had to change the mechanics. First he wanted that the enemies would only detect the player when they got shot. The problem is that the game cannot differentiate whether the enemy was hit by a shot or just the surroundings next to him. Thus it would have been illogical that enemies won't notice you when you e.g. shot the door next to them. So Miles had to find a workaround he wont reveal at the moment. Senior Quest Designer Philipp Weber assumes it could have to do something with materials and their opacity/how easy NPCs can see/hear through them ...
They talked about how the corona virus affects meeting people in real life. Philipp remembers how they used to visit e.g. media offices with preview builds: They carried the game with a specific PC in a code locked briefcase, the hard drive was password protected and the game programme itself, too.
I hope that means we don't end up with situations where NPCs say "Who's there!?... Hmm, must've been my imagination" while having a fresh bullet hole in their armMiles Tost wanted to allow players to have a Batman feeling in a certain area of the game. Still haven't beat the game that came out not-so-long-ago, stupid Apex Legends devs dropped another 2-week limited-time-event I wanna grind for them skins, and there's also Prey (2017) I haven't beat in almost a year after having got that as a birthday present, Risk of Rain 2 rolled out a new update and still haven't seen much of the new content from the last update, and there's also at least 3 I gotta complete. Honestly, I don't think that I'm gonna do my little list here before September.Sooooooooo April 16th is in 1 week's time. The game was supposed to be released on that date. We're not getting anything on that day, are we?![]()
Frankly i don't expect anything substantial before AugustSooooooooo April 16th is in 1 week's time. The game was supposed to be released on that date. We're not getting anything on that day, are we?![]()
Which IMO is just as good as or even better than gameplay or whatever, because I like lore and reading in general.most of what we will get is lore stuff like learning about the gangs, corpos etc..
And the final game is gonna feel so damn fresh and new and never-seen-before!Which IMO is just as good as or even better than gameplay or whatever, because I like lore and reading in general.![]()
