I always thought it was the name of a Fixer not JS . I have seen the pic your talking about ( i found it ) but how old would MB be in 2077 ?
I'm not quite sure of his age, but I'm fairly certain that's him in that picture, so he's likely alive.

I just had a theory.

So, when V says "Mr. Hand sent me," I think many of us assumed (and perhaps CDPR WANTS us to assume...) that it's Johnny Silverhand. But how would the Voodoo Boys know who that is right away? How would they know V is sent by him right away?

I think "Mr. Hand" is Morgan Blackhand, and I think he's the one that saves you from the junkyard. To get you on your feet (undoubtedly with something in it for him, whatever that might be), he sends you to them; with or with out knowing they'll betray you.

The reason I think this is because we see someone who looks like it could be him in a piece of the game's art, which was never widely published but is still nonetheless somewhere in this thread. I'm sure several of you remember it.

Thoughts? Dunno where else to put this.
Yeah, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Silverhand is presumed dead for many years now and according to devs we are the only one who are able to interact with him, which makes it unlikely that he would be able to contact Voodoo Boys beforehand, so they would know that V is not just some delusional guy who sees Elvis everywhere.

In fact, during recent Q&A panel they mentioned that Street Kid, Nomad and Corpo represent three main story paths through the game. Silverhand might be the one pushing you toward Street Kid path, so becoming a rebel who fights on the side of small people and embraces his ideas of rebellion, Morgan toward Nomad path, so being like "I know that Silverhand guy might be charismatic and Arasaka's offer is tempting, but you don't have to do this. Just get out of this mess, leave Night City and enjoy your freedom in the wastelands.", then Saburo Arasaka (in CP2020 it was implied that he was about to become an AI himself) will be the one offering you more luxurious lifestyle, but in exchange you will have to screw over a bunch of people. That might lead to three main endings: You are becoming a new Silverhand (as an icon), but loose your own individuality in the process, leave Night City forever to spend the rest of your life as a truly free Nomad or become part of the Corporation, get rich, then live in fear of someone else upstaging you now when you are on the top of the world.

https://www.polygon.com/2019/8/30/20841198/new-cyberpunk-2077-gameplay-hacking-character-creation

Each player’s Cyberdeck will have a “buffer” that acts as a sort of spell book, holding a finite number of “programs” that can be used at a moment’s notice. Each program is represented by a number and a letter; the demo showed a grid of 25 programs on the left side of the screen. On the right side of the screen were a number of available hacks, each requiring multiple programs. Options included things like “Camera log” and “Officer training,” as well as secured data caches. Players mix and match programs while the clock ticks down, racing to match as many of the available options as possible before they’re discovered.

That means, under most circumstances, there’s no way to hack the entire system. Instead, players must pick and choose what parts to crack. But you never know exactly what you’ll get; you’ll need to guess at what you might be unlocking every time you perform a hack. That leaves room for CD Projekt to embed interesting narrative elements or perhaps unintended, story-based consequences for even the most successful hacks.

Once successfully hacked, new options for interactions hover over objects in the game-world, each one represented as a contextual option on the in-game HUD. They allow you to cause distractions — causing a vending machine to spit out soft drinks for instance — or set traps.

Cool to see it written out like this.

I am sure i am dumb but i don`t understand Netrunning  I hope to get a better grip of it after watching more of it , definitely the second play thru for me . I do love the look of the SMG in the top
From my understanding, based on your hacking skill and cyberdeck level, theres a "buffer" bar at the bottom that fills based on how long you've been hacking and/or how many lines of code you've entered to access different systems. When the bar is full, I think you either get detected or just get booted out.

So, basically, you only have limited options.

If you speak about the hacking minigame, it's extremely simple if you just try to progress through the quest, but can get challenging if you want to rip different benefits out of it.

Let's visualize it.

A1 A2 A3 A4 A5
B1 B2 B3 B4 B5
C1 C2 C3 C4 C5
D1 D2 D3 D4 D5
E1 E2 E3 E4 E5

That's the simplified version of the 5X5 grid with the codes, which is utilized whenever you try to break into the security system. Above it you have six (in the demo at least, the number can potentially differ based on hacking skills) "slots" in which you input those pieces of codes by selecting them. You are given a bunch of objectives that you can complete via this minigame, main one displayed above it and side ones displayed next to it, with their own code combinations attached. So it looks like that

Main Objective: Download Cyberpunk 2077 data leak A1 B1

Side Objectives:
Remove Sard's MLP reaction images B3 E3 E5 B5
Gain mod status C5 A5 A1
Get access to Shavod's secret porn stache A2 C2 C4

A1 A2 A3 A4 A5
B1 B2 B3 B4 B5
C1 C2 C3 C4 C5
D1 D2 D3 D4 D5
E1 E2 E3 E4 E5

Side Objectives:
Remove Sard's MLP reaction images B3 E3 E5 B5
Gain mod status C5 A5 A1
Get access to Shavod's secret porn stache A2 C2 C4

To fulfill those objectives all you need to do is inputing the pieces of code in the correct order, while fulfilling main objective at the same time (however you don't have to input main objective first). As you can see, doing the main thing is very easy, because all you had to do is to input A1 B1, then the remaining four slots might include whatever, and bang, you download data leak. However if on top of that you want to remove Sard's ways of memeing around, then you have to input A1 B1 B3 E3 E5 B5, and bang, you download data leak and become hero of the forum. But maybe you are more interested in my secret gallery, so then you can input for example A2 C2 C4 A4 A1 B1, and bang, you download data leak and gain access to my collection of porn staches.

Now is it just a minigame equivalent of "wait, that card" scene from BioShock: Infinite, since you just have to write the code down that is displayed next to you? No, because what adds a difficulty to that endeavour is that you can only input the codes in vertical or horizontal columns, the order in the demo seems to be horizontal column - vertical column - horizontal column. That means at the start of the minigame you can input only A1, A2, A3, A4 or A5, then after you pick, let's say, A2 you gain access only to that particular vertical column of the codes, so then you can only select A2, B2, C2, D2 or E2. Picking for example C2 then gives you an access to horizontal column of that code, so you choose between C1, C2, C3, C4 or C5, and so on, and on, until you fill all the spare slots. In other words, you always have to plan ahead of what you wanna get out of this security terminal and the most effective way of getting there.

While it might sound kinda convoluted, it's really not that hard to grasp.

Doesnt this mean Witcher 4 is confirmed?

I wouldnt mind if they did some Wticher meet Diablo with Witcher 4.

"Today CD Projekt Red released a highly edited version of its E3 gameplay demo. This public reveal was also accompanied by a new, detailed breakdown of key game systems, including character creation and hacking. The footage also showed off the game’s use of Nvidia’s ray tracing technology. "

So where is this detailed breakdown? Theres million reports to sift through and vast majority of them just repeat the same info over and over.

Some people are already jumping a gun, saying that new Witcher is already in development, which I don't think is accurate. It's still unknown if another big The Witcher game is going to be the next production after Cyberpunk or if it's something planned more down the line.

100% at least in pre-production (few people brainstorming).
If they already decided that Witcher is going to be their next big game, then probably yes. Currently they have around 450 developers working on Cyberpunk, split between three teams (Warsaw, Cracow, Wrocław), with Warsaw team being the biggest (over 300 people). After the game release, probably most of them will still focus on Cyberpunk and it's post launch content (expansion, multiplayer), but more and more people will be assigned to work on another big project (is it going to be Cyberpunk 2 or Witcher 4, hard to tell for now).

Exactly. But it's going to be TW4, I'm pretty sure they want to go the rockstar way and alternate TW and CP like GTA and RDR. Which is good since gamers don't experience the ubisoft syndrome and get saturated with the same stuff over and over...
Witcher: third person fantasy RPG
CP: first person sci-fi RPG
Both IPs are story driven open-world with high quality narrative for side quests, but gameplay and perspective are different enough to feel fresh. I hopegameplay will be the focus for improvement for their next game, with even bigger budget = more employees.

My absolute speculation: the next smaller budget RPG coming in 2021/2 will be a top down cyberpunk game, maybe turn-based or something similar. Meanwhile we'll get a couple of good DLCs. TW4 in 2025.

I know it's not quite the same but wasn't it possible to have sex with prostitutes in 1st person in GTA?
I've seen it on youtube and it looks awful. Games that are serious about romance have never done FPP for sex scenes, and I would bet it's because of how bad it looks. Because the angles, just like in GTA, look off and there is no way to have two characters kiss in FPP. I'm interested to see how CDPR will do it, but if it looks anything like GTA they should just stick to fade to black.
