I don't see the point in making influencers play a game several months before release, when the game is still a mess (as they claimed yesterday). E3 is a great marketing opportunity since it's when the whole world has its eyes on videogames, non specialistic media as well.
Gamescom is 1 month before release. That could be good, but I expect influencers to get the reveiw copies around september 1st (with reviews' embargo for the 10th-ish). No point in trying the game 2 weeks before you get the final version.
Witcher 2 and 3, their last major releases, came out in may, so prior to e3. Not applicable.
Nothing new will be shown in july and august, of course.
They don't know what to show at e3? They also said they've just decided to postpone the game, so they need to reschedule hands-on as well => why not to E3? They solve 2 "issues" with one move. Media were supposed to try the game now, 3 month prior to release. E3 is 3 months prior to release.
Anyway, if it's not june then it's may. If not may then it's september. I don't really care at this point. I think I've already seen all I needed to see to understand the game. I just need a techie build and crafting to get the complete picture, but I don't think it'll be anything revolutionary.
My only few doubts right now are if they'll improve driving and gunplay and if bullet sponges will be as annoying as in TW3 or if they tweaked levels in a "better" (IMHO) way. None of this will be properly dsclosed until reviews in september. And how the game runs on consoles. That's even more secret than the vatican archive or area 51. The super duper 2080ti pc version was not that impressive, I'm a little scared for my ps4.
