I'm not talking about light "modern" clothes wihich have be treated with a chimical ingredients. But if those "ancient" leather armors doesn't take weight into water what Geralt mutations have to do with it?There is a HUGE difference between tight leather armour and loose modern "leather" clothing. Where it's heavy becuase of drag, if you wore a tight leather suit it wouldn't be that hard to swim in vs loose leather clothing.
In the armour Geralt is shown wearing in the video you could EASILY swim in it, even someone who doesn't have the strength/speed that Geralt has because of his mutations/upbringing.
Since man tanned leather has been understood that the process of tanning needed to rectify the porosity of the skin. Since the total impermeability has been impossible, when a piece of leather is subjected for a long time in contact with water, it will gradually soak and add the weight of absorbed water.
That is why I have not made any criticism of the fact that Geralt dive or swim. My post was aimed at those who believe that bathing with heavy leather garments does not have any negative result. The negative result exists just that gradually.
Please, remember that the posts are wroten by DIFFERENT users which means that if a post of mine is wroten AFTER an opinion that you don't like it DO NOT implies that I am not continuing the previous post. I'm posting a personal and autonomous opinion..
