There is a HUGE difference between tight leather armour and loose modern "leather" clothing. Where it's heavy becuase of drag, if you wore a tight leather suit it wouldn't be that hard to swim in vs loose leather clothing.

In the armour Geralt is shown wearing in the video you could EASILY swim in it, even someone who doesn't have the strength/speed that Geralt has because of his mutations/upbringing.

I'm not talking about light "modern" clothes wihich have be treated with a chimical ingredients. But if those "ancient" leather armors doesn't take weight into water what Geralt mutations have to do with it?

Since man tanned leather has been understood that the process of tanning needed to rectify the porosity of the skin. Since the total impermeability has been impossible, when a piece of leather is subjected for a long time in contact with water, it will gradually soak and add the weight of absorbed water.

That is why I have not made any criticism of the fact that Geralt dive or swim. My post was aimed at those who believe that bathing with heavy leather garments does not have any negative result. The negative result exists just that gradually.

Please, remember that the posts are wroten by DIFFERENT users which means that if a post of mine is wroten AFTER an opinion that you don't like it DO NOT implies that I am not continuing the previous post. I'm posting a personal and autonomous opinion..

Yes, that's how it is now. Please keep in mind that it's still work in progress and we might ultimately change it. We are still experimenting.

1.You could simply have a system where crafting potions gives you a checklist you click on the potions you want Geralt to make and he will refill the stock of those potion every time he meditates.

2.Change the inventory display for alchemical ingredients.Have icons for them with numbers beneath them so when you pick up a monster claw or a herb your Aether count increases instead of putting a claw or herb in your inventory.

The system essentially remains the same but is less irksome.A lot of people will avoid the potion system if it magically refills by itself because they will think it is a cheating system.

Using Igni underwater could be something like a boiling water/ steam attack. Extremely hot boiling water/ steam is very damaging. 3rd degree burn damaging in fact, just like normal fire.

Yes but this boiling water is the same water in which Geralt is diving....

That sounds like an non-mature game idea. I mean, It would be fantastic that Geral can fly, why not? it's a game!

This just came across my mind. There was a lot of talk last year about a sistem that allows the player, while using witcher senses, to target creature's specific body parts, for example fledder's glands. We have seen nothing of this lately. Is it still in the game, or has the entire concept been scraped?

It was the VATS system, and it wasn't pursued (which is slightly different to being scrapped :) ).
They were considering it as a possibility, but decided against it.

Hahaah, It's funny when Mamais starts to talk about long term commitment to the customer, no DRM and all that good stuff and you can see on the faces of guys from MS they don't understand a tad from what' he's saying. Like Mamais is some kind of naive guy. Really hilarious moment :).

Well, e3 is over time to hibernate till next year. Peace and out for all forum users it was fun 3 days.

I don't want to argue. We're just fans talking :) flying and hot stream of water are very different things if you insist of realism. I mean - have you ever done that thing? - you're lying in a bathtub with cold water and you shower yourself with shower head which spouts hot water. There is a stream of that hot water you feel but the surrounding water stays colder. :)

Off topic btw, why is John Mamais looks so serene all the time? Like he's being overly humble. I like it in him but it makes me wonder if he's like sad, bored or he just has this calm manner about him? Or is he just tired? I like the guy its not to criticise.

It's funny to see them thinking what the hell Mamais is talking about. Being faithfull to the fans? I guess they never heard of that before.

Please, excuse me if I have the feel that Geralt is loosing gradually his satus of anti-hero and he is becoming a superhero able to handle any weapon, resolved any fight in any situation. The Geralt I knew was a mutant witcher with some few sign knowledge, mastersowrd and full of grey treats. Yes, of course, I'm feared about the feeling that those words of be closer to the lore is becoming to closer to a superhero . And I don't mind if that makes me a bad fan under your eyes because only I and just I know how much I love and enjoy CDPR's works.

Hey now, I think you are being unfair to Geralt's capabilities. He could also very ably handle a torch in battle. Well in TW1 that is. :p

But what makes you have these doubts? From the description of quest they showed press at this E3, Geralt can still be an asshole.

I really don't know, I admit. Some details and some phrases and some intuition.. A strange cocktail that is awaking these fears. As I've said in some previous posts of mine, I won't be rassured till the next February, that is my own problem. Till then I will still keeping my hopes :p But doesn't mean that I must remains quiet about little things I don't like.

Edit Added.

But I really don't see where's the problem with your troubles by my own opinion. It won't affect at all CDPR's point of view ;) So keep calm, guys.

What do you mean by "asshole"? Wichat's point is quite clear. She doesn't think Geralt having a crossbow, for example is not lore-friendly. It is her opinion, and a lot of people agree with her, most of them being huge lore fans. Myself included for that matter.
