Show me one really good city in another 3D RPG... ;)

Kevin VanOrd from Gamespot wrote this about Novigrad after he's seen the full 45 minutes gameplay footage:

True but somehow that swamp seems a tad more impressive.

The swamps look like swamps look like the swamps from Witcher 1 with new, shiny graphics... :p

Actually the swamps impressed me the least. First Novigrad, then the forest, then the swamps. ;)

Yep it looks sweet, I just hope they can eliminate all that screen tearing and pop up / pop ins. Those are the things I dislike the most, can that really be done in 8 months?
I hope the xboxone gets a better graphic boost since devs can use 10% more so called power. I want things to run really smooth, everything else looks and sounds great. Jumping to climbing over stuff looks smooth, also Geralt running in that shallow water after griffin does not call for slower animations because it's not deep enough. Same for him jogging down the hill to fight the bandits, it's not steep enough and needs no new animation. Maybe when Geralt was running/walking up hill,
that did look rather steep and might call for some better animations. Unless it was just a bad camera angle, who knows but them damn 3 bolt white arrow trails need to go bye bye. The last gameplay pc demo in the swamp looks amazing if you can ignore all the screen tearing Geralts boots are wet and it looks cool also the hopping over that dead tree looked good and the climbing was nice too. I know the witcher mode helps the noobs find the rocks to climb, and it's good to know we don't have to use it for that if we don't want to. I still don't like the loot drop hand/finger pointing animation that is now white. I don't know if this is for noobs or demo or what but I would like to turn all the white arrow hints off/on when I want thanks. Now if cdpr could only make the next-gen console game look as good as that pc demo minus the screen tearing we will have a major hit on our hands. :)

Wow CDPR, just wow.... Thank you so much for showing us all of this. :) Im starting to like the new combat more and more with each presentation, it looked like those two drowners wanted to get behind Geralt and strike, cool AI if it wasnt coincidence.
:hatsoff:

I don't play RPGs so I can't show you nor I think it would be possible. Lets just say medieval city always looks ugly in my eyes and its not CDPR fault, but sci-fi Arkham knight city looks gorgeous and the same would be for CP77 I guess.

I will be honest, I liked the scale of Novigrad but thought that the texturework there was less than amazing.
The swamp amazed me graphically speaking and with Novigrad I though that it was mostly cool because of the scale rather than the look of it.

Keep in mind that the console version will not look the same as the pc version maxed. I am sure that the console version will be amazing but prepare youself for atleast some minor differences graphically.

Why are you here if you don't play RPGs and don't like fantasy/medieval games??? Just curious... :p

The 3 games were exception and because TW wasn't about saving the world from some evil monster. But I pass every single other RPG

This time it was a confirmed PC version.

The graphics and art design are breathtaking but Geralt's face is still weird. And screen tearing is horrible... :p

Isnt stream causing the tearing?

I don't know. Maybe. We have to wait for a HQ version from CDPR to be sure.

I was really impressed how Geralt's boots got wet when he stepped into the water in the swamp.
The details are just amazing and it's just alpha build.

Really just have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by how much they've shown us. It still would've been awesome if we could've seen the full demo, but I understand their reasons so I won't complain about that. But yeah, all the different snippets look great. Geralt's face also looks a lot better in-game, so I guess it really just does depend on the lighting and angles, though I still think they could make his eyes a teensy bit brighter.
But really great content.

Maybe in 10 years. Also tearing really has nothing to do with the game, that's a sync issue between the GPU and display.

V-Sync should solve the problem for a game like Wticher 3. You really don't need more than 60 or even 30 FPS in a game like that imo. ;)

I have some hope that the pc version plus lots of ram could do something about it.

I wish people would've asked them more about how the horse mechanics work.
