Easy setting is NOT easy

I bought the game on day #1 and i am still in Flotsam , i can not motivate myself to play after reloading 80 times already so let me ask you a question : what easy is suppose to mean in your game ?
NO i don't want a challenge
NO i don't want to RTFM
NO i don't like to reload
I want to progress the story and easily wtfpwn everything cause this is how i enjoy gaming, you did hardcore and insane with care for those who like this settings but again as in W1 you fail to deliver to those like me, cause i know i am not the only one who plays on easy.

I imagine 2.0 will not adress the issue so i will have to make myself some petty trainers to freeze HP .
thanks for nothing CDPR

I would have said welcome to the world of the witcher, but looking at the tone of your post I understand your (very?) frustrated. If easy was getting tough for you you could have use a trainer like in your 10th time maybe instead of 80? instead of saying 'thanks for nothing CDPR'

I think CDPR should do a new Very Easy start for people who just want to play the story and not worry about combat.

That's what Easy was supposed to be.

Never tried it, so I don't know what it's like.

Alternatively, go watch a movie. Or play a different kind of game.

To the OP - yes, you will die occasionally, you will need to work out how to do things (whether you do so by reading a manual, or going online, or trial and error is up to you), and it is challenging. It also has a learning curve,

And I guess most of us here enjoyed the challenge. If it isn't for you, then do something else instead.

That's what Easy was supposed to be.

Never tried it, so I don't know what it's like.

I'm not young, and I'd never played a game with real-time combat before TW2. I played on Easy, and I died quite a few times :)

Go to Nexus and there's a mod that will allow you to block without losing vigor. Maybe there are others that ease the combat as well. Once you're a ways into chapter 2 you'll be more powerful and combat will get much easier.

Why? The Witcher, The Witcher 2 especially, is an incredibly story-driven series. So you're saying that those who are not as good at gaming should avoid it and "go play something else" instead? You're just being rude.

While I had no problems playing on Normal, I feel the OP. Some people simply don't have good reflexes but, in a game like this, it should be possible to play without dying much and just enjoy the amazing story.

OP, you should visit the Nexus and see if there are any 'god mode' mods available. And you should RTFM because it will help you understand the game mechanics and progress without dying.

I think there is a God Mode mod at The Nexus.

Maybe I'm being too literal on the OP's post, in which case I'll happily admit I'm wrong. But if the OP really means that they don't want to die in a game, and don't want a challenge, then I really don't think this is right game for them. Story is one thing, but this is still a story about a warrior, and removing all challenge takes away too much of the game.

It is not for us to dictate how other users should play there games.

Op, there is a mod for god mode so use that if you like.

I found it kinda funny that in the lead up to release. CDPR emphasized over and over and OVER, that easy setting would be a casual setting for those that just wanted to play for story, lol...and then everyone was getting bitch slapped. I myself died like 30 times in the prologue on my first run. So, I think it's good they eased the difficulty on easy, to actually make it easy.

There is a god mode file for witcher 2 and the link is here
http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40

Easy was supposed to be for those who enjoy a story but not so much for combat . Hopefully the link will help the OP follow the story without having to worry so much about combat issues .

It hasn't been updated since May, and the last comment by the modder seems to be in late June. Any idea if there are likely to be problems with the file format change on 1.3?

It's always a good idea to read the manual while installing a new game - even though most of it is soon forgotten, you will get a good understanding of the general mechanics .... If you don't want to read the manual, don't complain about the game being too hard..?

WoW lot's of replies.

How do i see which patch i have ? i just run the game and there was no update so i guess i am having the latest.

I don't need to be welcomed , i am an old user and this would be clear if there was a "forgot password" in the log in page.... also i have trouble register the game ( bought from gamersgate ) but i guess i will have to read faqulty for this.

I don't mind dieing 5-10 times in the entire game but i have reloaded like 80 and i am still in Flotsam , we are sharing a hard disc with my brother, he too plays in easy and faces the same problem, i can accept that i am witcher wise retarded but hell it can not be both of us!

I love the game as i love W1, my opening post was not intented as bashing and i will still buy whatever CDPR releases in the future, my point is that although hardcore gamers are given much attention casual idiots like me are given nothing .

No i don't want to download a god mod, i can make one myself i want to play an easy game on easy setting that it is supposed to be easy and it is not!
