Edited post since not able to delete old one. I incorrectly stated HDR screen was updated when actually the video setting defaulted back to "none" for HDR mode after 1.04 update and I was looking at Gamma Correction. My bad.
I still think the HDR config screen could be more user friendly, perhaps done in a three step graphic process like other games or something similar to the Gamma Correction screen or have them combined somehow. Trying to get any meaningful result as is feels off right now with that screen.
Playing on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
