Weirdest thing just happened: Fighting the dragon on top of the tower, I couldn't target it. Started the fight over, same thing. Swinging in its general direction did nothing, not even with Whirl. Then I threw one bomb (a Zerrikanian Sun, no less) and somehow one-shotted it with that. Even weirder, I was able to use three Falka's Blood oils at once, but only during that part. It may have been possible to use an unlimited amount, but I stopped at three. Video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOhULrXtRdg&feature=youtu.be

Could this be a bug that occurs when you do too much damage to the dragon inside of the tower? I think I managed to take out all of its life in a few hits.

Thaler's agent in Flotsam that hangs out around the Blue Stripes barracks in Flotsam wasn't there for me.

I'm curious - could this possibly mean they've fixed the inconsistency here? Did you play TW1 and, if so, did Thaler survive?

this is all ive really had problems with so far is some typos and stuff like the [...] and (!) and the foliage popping in act II and the Axii sign on the priest in the prologue fails, but he still tells me where foltest's children are as though it succeeded and one time after capturing iorveth in flotsam when you go back and theyre having the celebration, i went to the port before going to the inn to talk to dandelion and there were no npc's at the port so thinking they were at the celebration i went back and only loredo was there, the whole town went empty.

1. The configuration tool is still broken (since the demo IIRC). You can't change anything in the input section. All you can change are the video settings. The input settings are locked, even the keyboard.

2. The tutorial level is wrong. At one point it tells and shows you to press UP on the D-pad on your game controller to access your Inventory, but UP is assigned to Adrenaline and is NOT changeable through the configuration tool.
Oops.

3. Equipping items, especially armor, is poorly designed and badly executed. The 'cursor' (highlighted section) in the Inventory screen is incredibly difficult to see. I'm using a game pad. I have two armor jackets with very similar stats that look almost identical. I cannot tell which one is equipped because I cannot tell which one the little info box is referring to because I literally cannot see the highlight because it's the same RGB color as the background, just a tiny bit lighter. With more than 2 items in inventory, this isn't a problem because you can (almost) see where the cursor moves to. Anything less and it's a guessing game.

I had a problem installing the EE patch due to a corrupted patch0.dzip file which ultimately corrupted my original install so I had to uninstall and reinstall the original GOG.com download again then repatch once I'd downloaded TW2EE_Patch-1.bin and TW2EE_Patch-2.bin again. So in effect my copy is a clean install.

Anyway, I started a new game on the same settings as before (1920x1200, Ultra, LOD set to Far, Ubersampling turned off) and noticed several issues from the first hour or so of play:

1. Textures seem have a tendency to pop in a fraction of a second late in various places which I never noticed before (I tested this by loading old save games as well as from my fresh playthrough). Now I do have a new graphics card and I'm using a newer driver, v301.25 beta, so it may be caused by that. Or not.

2. The game still has the weird bug where upon entering a building or going through a door into a new area Geralt will do what looks like a sudden jerk to the left then right to face forward again. It looks silly. This issue has been there since the original release and other people have noted it too yet it still remains unfixed.

3. The Cinematic Depth of Field effect both looks worse and incurs a larger performance hit than it did prior to the EE patch. The game generally runs at 60 fps during gameplay but can dip to 26 fps during some of the cutscenes where DOF is heavily used. It's not a serious issue as these dips occur during non-interactive sections but is this a game or graphics driver bug?

4. I'm running the game in 16:10 and although the intro video plays fine, I suspect I'll encounter the same black screen bug that others have reported during the dialogue scene to Flotsam. It seems everyone else with a 16:10 display has it so I know I will too though I've yet to reach that point in my new game.

I just noticed that when you fight i.e the Bullvore (beneath Kaedweni camp in ACT2) and reload, the Bullvore disappears which shouldn't happen.

I have noticed this as well. I used to play with all DOF effects switched on, with great visual results (many would say it's a matter of personal taste, however). In 3.0, however, it looks much worse than I remember, and the performance hit is also more noticeable. I've opted to switch off Cinematic and Scatter DOF, while keeping the basic DOF on. Still, odd (and bad, very bad) that this suddenly started happening after the update. I do wonder, however, how many of these graphical issues may be caused by graphics drivers. I have quite recently updated them to the latest stable release (Nvidia), so I might attempt reverting back to the good ol' 270.61 275.33. I don't really know what the benefits are with using 295.73, anyway.

I can confirm that this was a problem already in earlier versions. A really strange little thing, and I don't think it's limited only to that cave and the bullvores you can find there. Reloading will make the game simply "forget" to also spawn certain monsters. :/

Sheesh, when you read through this thread you might get the impression this game is still an early beta ;)

Anyways, I encountered a bug aswell, when I wanted to talk to the mayor of Lobinden after having completed Troll Trouble, but the game wouldn't allow me to talk to most of the NPCs. Their names just wouldn't pop up over their heads (just seemingly randomly over two or three NPCs). I had to quit to Windows and restart the game to fix it, since a simple save reload did not work.

This: http://www.abload.de/img/witcher22012-04-2422-fqj5m.png

I've read that I have to load a chapter 1 save or make a new game to fix this.
No, sorry, but I don't really want to spent another 30 hours doing thing I've already done.
Will this be fixed with a patch?

This problem (or bug) would be "okay" if there was some kind of warning when attempting to load a pre-EE save file. I don't know if such a warning, in whichever form, ever appeared for me when I installed the patch. If there indeed was no warning to the player about possible problems with loading a pre-EE save file, in an EE-patched version of the game, then I am disappoint.

Today, I stumbled on some poorly displayed shadows during my visit in the Kayran's lair (lower right in the pictures). It's nothing major, but I think it wasn't that way before EE. I also have the feeling that the green "slime" texture has a somewhat lower resolution than I recall, but it could also be my memory that tricks me:

Einar Gausel seems to be disappeared in Act 1 and I can not finish Flotsam Dice Poker and Troll Trouble quests because of this, but this is my second playthrough and I didn't have these problems last time with patch 2.0 so it must be an Enhanced Edition issue.

Even in EE. (fresh install btw)

Dragon's Dream still doesn't work.

No damage in combat log and igniting it still has no effect

-EDIT-

It works now sorry. But the bug is present in all bombs when you only have one bomb left (for each bomb type) it does 0 damage

The only issue I haven't seen mentioned, Adam Pangratts armour has a missing texture/clipping issue in the armpit areas during dialog scenes. This also happens with anyone wearing similar armour.

I'm not sure the missing Einar Gausel is actually a bug. The dwarf keeps business hours; he closes his shop and goes walkabout evenings. If you go there too late in the day, he is indeed (and I suspect intentionally) not there. He comes back the next day.

I could not find the appropiate place to post this, so I'll just post it here.

There is a gamebreaking bug concerning the visionary. Aparrently, if you talk to him out of sequence, due to a bug he will no longer talk to you. Thusly disabling you from finishing the quests related to him.

Not sure this is exactly the bug. There are some obscure conditions involving the Visionary; one of them is that you must have a note carried by one of the soldiers who are attacked by rotfiends. In the experience of at least one other player, it is possible to miss that note and not be able to get it after that.

1. Cloud saving on Steam is broken.
2. Impossible to play Dice poker with controller in PC version, can't roll dice. Can't back out back into standard game.
3. Xbox controller settings config are very different that using a Xbox controller on the PC. Why?
(Yes I prefer to play with the Xbox controller as do others).

Thank you for addressing these ASAP.
