EE performance issues

My specs:

Intel i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz
8gb ram
Nvidia GTX 275

Before EE - no performance issues, and with settings on the 'high spec' setting I got 30-35fps. Now, since EE I get terrible stuttering and game is rendered unplayable.

I've tried turning everything to low, changing resolution, latest nvidia drivers, latest beta nvidia drivers, clean install of the game and not a single thing has made any difference.

Any thoughts?

Make sure v-sync is off and try playing around with the "Maximum Pre-rendered Frames" setting in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Same problem here

Intel i5 2500k @ 3.9ghz
8gb ram
2x AMD HD6870 CrossFire

Before EE: Solid 60FPS on Ultra (NO UBERSAMPLING) @ 1920x1080
After EE: 20-25FPS on Ultra (NO UBERSAMPLING)

Setting everything to LOW and the lowest possible resolution doesn't change anything, it's clearly an issue with the game and not our GPU's. I can run BF3 and Metro 2033 on max settings and 2x MSAA at 60FPS but this game doesn't manage that?

I'm also having problems with the game after the update.
Intel i7-2600 @ 3.40ghz
8gb ram
Ati Raedeon HD 6770
I get around 30-40 fps on low, and on Ultra I get 10-20. I'm sure its not my computer, since I can play Bf3 and other new games on max without lag.

Did you try disabling cinematic DOF? Also for stuttering problems there's a fix...don't have the link right now but search in google and it shall appear. It's 2 files that you need to put in the bin folder.

Try disabling cinimatic and cutscene depth of field. I had the same problem, the EE screwed up that setting for a lot of people. Just give it a shot, you will be supprised.

Tried all of that

The settings DO NOT MATTER. The resolution does not matter. The game doesn't work right with every setting on low and all expensive effects on low or OFF.

Please stop the generic answers now, this is a real issue. I know my computer, I know how tough games work. Metro 2033 does 60fps with all settings on ultra and 2xMSAA @ 1080p. It's a problem with this EE business.

CDP had the nVidia guys come and do their magic, you know like the AMD guys did on DeusExHR... guess why the AMD cards work bad with this game but worked miracles in the other?

aaanyway, for now a lot of AMD users report performance issues, mostly with crossfire, and NO there is no fix for now.

Funny, most other posts I read on this problem state nVidia cards are affected more so than AMD...might want to take a second look at it CDP...

Also turning off CrossFire makes zero difference. No worse no better.

Having performance issues too, my PC:

HD 6970 x 2 (crossfire)
i5 2500K @ 3.4Ghz
8Gb ram

Getting like 20-30 fps when looking in to the crowd of people fighting in the first level. If I turn away I get around 150 fps.
First I thought it was just so demanding but then I tried low settings and I was getting like 40 fps which is ridiculous considering the PC i have.

I remember playing the non-enhanced version some time ago on a less powerful PC (with only one 6970) and the performance was a lot better if I remember correctly

Only those with red text unde name saying 'CDProjektRed' are from CDP, the rest of us, the blue ones are simply volunteers

volunteers that read & answer in the forum enough to read all the posts and all the issues, and so far AMD wins ... at... the bad side like I said ;)

/LE: the crossfire guys can you try with the Dirt3 profile too: http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24136-target-cursor-dissapearing-bug/page__p__808356#entry808356 ?

i don't remember if i tried using the dirt 3 profile, but using afr friendly + alternate frame rendering using radeonpro gives me the best performance (2x5850s). I'll try the dirt 3 profile again

I'm well aware of that. I was speaking directly to them for dramatic effect.

Dirt 3 profile makes no difference. It's the game, not my drivers or CAP.
