my bad then. I only can hope that they can upgrade the game, because there are things in the gameplay mechanics and in the open world that are very mediocre even on pc.

Would not surprise me if CDProjekt finishes up the console patches and vaporizes this IP altogether.

This is what I'm most scared of. There is so much potential in this game it hurts - I've never felt this way playing a game before. I feel for the people in the trenches, working on this hard, but I also really want this IP to succeed. I've been excited for this game since 2012 and the rollercoaster of emotions I've experienced the last few weeks was not what I was not what I was expecting.

I totally agree. Personally, I was not so hyped about the game, but I was so curious to see the "innovations" that this CP2077 would have showed us, after so many years.

I feel bad also for the devs, as I cannot think that they have done that, basically, unfinished product with that exact purpose.

This game could be potentially infinite and "upgradeable", especially on new stories to be inserted after the main one, they could even explore the Earth's orbit places that in the game are mentioned, they could explore more deeply each main gang in NC with additional DLCs, they could insert another espionage story about Arasaka.....the environment (very good) is there.....they could populate it infinitely right now.....

Well, if they have a good management behind them, obviously....

CDPR straight up needs to release some kind of road map or something within the next couple of weeks detailing what all they plan on doing with this game, I don't think vague patches are going to cut it.

They kind of have to turn this all around as much as possible because there's A LOT riding on this. Sales of the game will tank otherwise, the multiplayer will probably be dead on arrival (which they've likely already sunk a lot of money into), there's the anime that's still scheduled to release and on top of that their general reputation, which will have an effect on The Witcher 4 when it's inevitably announced going forward.

They need to be transparent and keep us up to date. Take a leaf out of Larian Studios' book.

Well, for the The Witcher 4 they will have to focus A LOT before making any kind of communication when the time will come.

Users will not forget easily this experience, and always users, for that time, I think much less people will "pre-order" a game from them so easily like this one, for any platform.

Once they will have decided which mechanics/features IMPROVE or ADD in The Witcher 4 compared to The Witcher 3, then they will have to follow them closely and, for that time, they will have to be sure that these will be there at release time.

Next time users will keep eyes wide open on them, I think (and wish).

They already shared the roadmap. 1.05 patch to be released next week? followed by 2 big patches in January and February.

I think at this point they are better staying off social media and what not finishing up the patches and go from there. Everything they put out on social media this past week has been scrutinized.

Whoever made the ultimate decision to flat out lie and release this buggy mess needs to be fired. But it's not too late to fix the damned thing. Wouldn't be the first turd to get plastic surgery and come out lookin' like a runway model.

The team needs to come together and start realizing the vast potential of CP2077. Fixing bugs is the first step but can not be the last. Night City NEEDS and DESERVES to be flesh out in how we, as citizens, can interact with it.

That statement was vague as all hell though. We don't know what those patches entail. Will they simply be performance related, or will they also contain content? The game is clearly unfinished, so will it be finished?

Realistically? I doubt it... look at the (mainstream) games media buzz. I see mostly talks about (console) bugs, glitches, maybe a few words about AI issues, but missing features? Not so much...

This, all of this...
I mean, from what I heard, they kinda scrapped the entire original premise of the game when they got Keanu reeves on board.
Like 90% of the story were apparently done in the past 2 years, after they got Keanu on board.

I mean, the game I, and a lot of other people were expecting was a lore heavy RPG where I would be able to play a character as I want to. As a Solo, as Netrunner, as a Techie, etc. and I mean that is what they been saying in the advertisements for ages. "Chose your path" "Create your V" etc etc. But in the end the game is so barebones it hurts. You are a solo, and all you can do is either skill to be a stealthy solo, one that uses hacks to kill ppl, or one who goes in guns blazing. But you are a solo, no matter what. Game doesnt even care when you use non-lethal weapons half of the time. Killed a boss with a non-lethal weapon, then the game tells me his number is not available, as if he was dead.

"Style matters" yea, but the clothes you can get still all look the same, and if you get sth that doesnt, its outclassed after a single mission by random stuff you find on corpses... So in the end, I just wear whatever the gang goons I killed last were wearing anyways, or accept that my gear is bad.

But the story was kinda the worst part. Why would I wanna do boxing matches and street races, when I got the diagnosis from my doc, that I have a terminal disease to take care of? Like... what?
And that even after the main quest, I end up having to reload to a point, where I am still given a few weeks to live doesnt really make me wanna go back to do sidequests...
I am still deathly ill... so why bother? Same issue I had with TW3 too though. The story is constantly slapping you in the face, that you have no time, and once you actually finally succeeds its like "SIKE, you can only do side missions, if you dont actually win." I mean its a weird issue to have, cause it shows how much the game pulls you in. But like... still is not very motivating to do side quests at all.

I just kinda hope, that CP multiplayer will give you the freedom to interact with the world as you want, and wont be another FO76-like grind fest without any purpose.

I love Night City but CDPR dropped the ball on most than 90% of this game. The sad part is that, even if they wanted to, they can not fix the rail botched story line or make any DLC continuation support V, the hero that failed to fkin slay the dragon. The DLC could work for the ones that want to see a Silverhand continuation, I do not.
For me, this game is an epic fail, and no matter what CDPR does to fix it, it will still be an epic fail because it is impossible to rewrite the whole main storry. My 2 cents are over. Take care everyone.

It is possible if you look at what is already in the game. Zen Master, Meditation, Misty pills which indicates that the hassle of the game could have been to either take a johnny approach and try to be the biggest and most legendary legend of them all or to actually fight the demon inside you until you can get rid of him and save yourself. But a deadline and an angry stuff indicates the game got either butchered for said deadline or literally no one listend to the dev team after 2018!

They can't. If they do, nobody will ever buy any game from them upfront. This is not EA that owns hundreds of games. They are still well only thanks to Witcher 3. Cyberpunk had to be another "horse" to pull them further. I doubt they will keep their financial status too long even if they fix the game. They must do something big and special for players or they will be sorry very soon.

This is bad news all around. Media outlets will pounce on this like a starving lion. Social media is a place that all developers should be avoiding. They shouldn’t be on it trash talking the hand that feeds them.

I know it seems like the right idea to point and blame the executives and the board, but everyone is at fault. Communication was non-existent, it seems. The development team was quite obviously burned out on the game – that’s the only logical solution I can see. Almost everything about the game is lacklustre. The writing, the storytelling, the choices. The only thing that was good was the marketing, which completely shafted every other department as it promised things the developers and writers couldn’t deliver.

Stock dropped by a lot already. All they can do is damage control. This game will never get all those ripped features. Never.. It will get patched, most bugs will be fixed, but anything related to the story line will not be touched.
CDRP would rather build a new game than rewrite CP77. I wish that things would be different, but sadly they will be not.
I only hope that I am wrong.

I don't think this is true. I think its a symptom of cut corners, they said initially Johnny Silverhand was one of multitude of personalities that could end up in your head depending on your background.
What I think happened was they had to cut those and just settled on who they finished which was Johnny and then they started hunting for a celebrity to hold the role and found Keanu to carry this mess on his back.

You can't develop a game of this scale, bugs and all, in just a year or two.

My first post on Youtube, on the official Cyberpunk page (it's even there) was in a video in which they released that 'cars' trailer. There I saw that the 'direction' of the game had changed. I posted the following words:

'I have a bad feeling, this looks like GTA'

I already had in mind that they were in trouble since many who developed TW3 left the Studio. For me there was and still is a commercial view, strictly commercial, around the game. And that - in my view - is a bad thing for those who like content.

Many of us saw it coming, we just went ahead in trusting CDPR even though we had no reason to do so. Right now I'm just listening to the music that should have made me be completely be immersed in the world. Sadly, CP2077 is a sorry excuse of a game, less than 10% of what Human Revolution or Mankind Divided is today. Ponpon shit if it helps....

I made a topic about 'daring', I questioned the CD about the ways to go, use the online game as a basis or argument. The blue pill is the market, the red pill, we ... people. Who will CD choose?

Only she will say. I have a suspicion, unhappy, but I do (have) ... but I will have to wait.
