Ending cinematic
Excellent job with the outro, CD Projekt
The final scene with the Nilfgaardian armies crossing the Yaruga is just spectacular. It makes me even more excited for The Witcher 3!

Battle at Brenna is really only something that's referenced, not really explained. I guess I kind of missed how big Nilfgaard was, and I should have put 2 and 2 together with all the soldiers complaining about how they fought Nilfgaard and have to work with them now.LurtzOfOrthanc said:Martians, was your head in Uranus while you played? The game references MANY times the desperate Battle of Brenna, where the entire North had to combine to defeat Nilfgaard. And their threat never goes away - their cold discipline and fearsome nature ("Black Ones in my camp before a battle" says Foltest) strikes terror into the hearts of many Northmen. Pay attention, Nilfgaard is a huge deal. The weak kingdoms are Temeria and Aedirn in most endings - Aedirn only survives if you let Stennis the poisoner become King Stennis I, and Temeria is split between Henselt and/or Radovid on most endings - unless you give Anais to Natalis (which results in the most optimistic lines from Roche in the beginning of the Epilogue).
Just look at the map, which comes with your retail and digital copy. There, in the top right corner, is a map of the continent which shows all of the northern kingdoms and Nilfgaard. There you will see that the Empire is at least three times as big as all northern kingdoms combinedMartiansinUranus said:Battle at Brenna is really only something that's referenced, not really explained. I couldn't tell that the army at the end was Nilfgaard though, because I didn't see any black and blue colors. I think they were all wearing white and red, and I didn't have the foresight to scan over the Nilfgaardian banner to remember what it was.
I think it's good that it was a sunny day. Too often the dramatic "invasion" or battles happen in the rain, especially in Hollywood. And this would actually be extremely uncomfortable for soldiers, scouts, and the generals who can't see the battlefield for all the rain.RhysapRhodri said:In my mind's eye I suppose I was expecting the Nilfgaardian crossing of the Yaruga to be in the rain, Emhyr var Emreis, the Emperor himself, watching his forces cross - in vein with the grittiness and dread of the situation...
