True, I found Ciri's personality at the end of the game a bit confusing I have to say. In the books neither Geralt nor Ciri care about the greater good, fuck it, not even Yen who told the lodge to fuck of, or Triss who betrayed them to save Geralt. They care about each other, friends, family, whatever you want to call it.no not really, and there is no point in the game were she cares about the greater good.
She cares about the people close to her, and she wants to be left alone. No longer be chased and used for what she is. Even her supposed sacrifice at the end (which is lorewise kinda bullshit), is done because she wants to end it (being on the run all the time) rather then just doing something good.
Actually in the books there is. Witcher and Witcheress, at least thats how it appears in the english translationsThe game calls her a witcher, There's no female form, it's like soldier.
You clearly haven't read anything Sapkowski wrote...Ciri's mission in life is to help others and unlike Geralt, who is too proud, too cynical and way too selfish to do anything more help to the occasional villager, Ciri is perfectly willing to get herself far more involved in far bigger things even at the cost of her own life.

Really? And what is the game based on exactly? I suggest you pay a little more attention to characters in the game. Ciri and Geralt specially. You say Geralt is a selfish and proud bastard who wouldn't lift a finger without pay, no man, it is you who are like that, don't forget YOU control his choices (clear example would be choosing to save Saskia over rushing to Triss in Witcher 2). And Ciri, did you pay attention to anything she said in the game? She is tired of everyone using her, tired of her powers, she wants to be normal.
