Im trying to burn the cacoons to get the queen to come out, but I must be doing something wrong? Ive tried using Igni and Dancing star bombs but it seems to have no effects?

Just whack away with your silver sword.

So there is no need to burn the cacoons just destroy them?

First you open them, then just use your sword to destroy them.

Ok Thanks I was doing that but was reading the monster info. in the character sheet and was going by there info. thought I was going to mess up the quest if I destroyed them all without burning them.

it doesn't mention anything about burning it.

The last sentence in the journal entry is a little misleading. I've never found it necessary or even helpful to try to burn the cocoons.

seamusgod - Its in the book that you read to learn about the monsters. It did not help at all to burn them though but just attacking them did the job. Thanks for your help all !
