Enhanced Edition adventures ( Price of Neutrality and Side Effects ) problems

just a remainder: before attempting to install do read a bit here: http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/1.4_patch and check the files_____________________________________________At stage of adventure when have to choose whether to support Deidre or not. Chose to support her. Returned to camp, as required by game, to talk to Merwin (Vesemir, Eskel, Lambert and Deidre in tow). Battle follows and enemy is defeated (Eskel is dead). Before entering tent I go round to collect coins and other items on the remains. As I approached Vesemir and Lambert (who are next to the prone Eskel) my monitor screen went black. No sign of crash, and problem keeps occurring after I have rebooted and reloaded a previous saved version. In fact screen goes black at different times during the camp scene. Have experimented and found that changing video resolution does not help, but that my mouse icon is still active (I press the left button and at times the flame appears or the speak icon appears - also by clicking on the right side of the screen the game panel and time/location indicator appears). Does anyone know what is causing this? I presume I am not at the end of the adventure because I chose to support Deidre? [MOD] Added file integrity link[/MOD]

Downloaded EE through Steam and cannot find the two new adventures.Clicked on New Game then New Adventures and there is nothing there except a square Witcher logo but nothing to click on.Steam finally provided a game cd key which I registered on the official site but still nothing.Are there any requirements to get them to show up?Should I try re-downloading the game? UGH!!!Any Advice?

I had the same issue and tried everything from the KB... What fixed it for me was going into game properties >> Local files tab >> Verify integrity of game cache. What the problem was, was that there were some files missing, even the main exe (witcher.exe), I checked for it while i was waiting and it wasnt there... After verification, it did some downloading, which was very quick - went from 0% to 83% to ready status within about 10 seconds. I checked the system folder again and witcher.exe was there.So its possible the initial download didn't actually download all the files needed for the game.

I'm not sure if this will fix your problem or not but thought it would be worth a try.

I think you made correct decision – maybe they send you at first not ENHACED edition of the WItcher. Problem should be solved on their data base

Re-downloading the game didn't help.Tried the "Verify integrity of game cache..." through Steam trick and that didn't work : (Will try new advice of simply downloading new update off The Witcher website and installing New Adventures piecemeal.Will let you know how it goes ; )Thanks for all the help!!!P.S.) Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me? Seems kinda strange... : /P.S.S.) Where exactly would the Two New Adventure Modules be located in your Steam EE folder assuming they where there to begin with? All the other EE bonus material is in the folder like it should be. Checked Data\Modules folder but don't see it there. Not in Data\Quests folder either. Of course I'm looking for the proper names of the Two New Modules "The Price of Neutrality" and "Side Effects".

I thought i read somewhere they were having voiced overs int hese. am i wrong cause i D/L EE and they dont have voices in them. i did add my language pack tooanyone got voices

I have just installed the enhanced edition of Witcher. Before installing the new edition, I have installed patch 1.3, and have the new adventure, Price of Neutrality. Yet, after I have installed the new edition, when I press New Game, all I can see is Side Effect. The Price of Neutrality has disappeared. I can no longer find it. Where can I find the installer of the enhanced edition of Price of Neutrality?

Thou I have a question about additional story modules, that were included in the release - The Price of Neautrality and Side Effects. I have only downloaded the updater and my language pack, without the additional story modules. What if I would like to download the modules and install them later? Will I have any problems with that? Will I need to re-install the 1.4 patch to install modules, or are they standalone installers? Will I get my own (russian) language after installing them, or will it be some other? In short - do I need to know anything about installing these two modules after I patch the game to 1.4?Regards,Maegnar.

As it turned out, the Steam version simply was missing the New Adventures, or so it seems.Downloading the Adventures off the website and installing piecemeal did the trick.They are now where they're supposed to be and play fine with full voice-overs.Thanks for all the help!!! ;D ;D ;D

I was going to give "Price of Neutrality" a try, but there seems to be quite a few problems with the sound - like, no actual voices during the cutscenes, just subtitles - is that how it's supposed to be? And when I first encounter the camp, some of the characters' appearances look all goofy - almost like they're covered in camouflage. I'd be surprised if that's how it's supposed to be. BTW, I have no problems with the main game.Any thoughts? I didn't go any further; I'm in no hurry to play it. Since I haven't gotten too far in the main game yet, it almost seems like cheating to start an extra mission and have access to all the powers I don't have yet.

did you also install the enhanced "Price of Neutrality" adventure?in the original it had no voices, thu enhanced one has voices

Yeah I am a Steam user too and there is no Adventures for me too. Will you send adventure files to Valve to add Steam or we must download it from your website and install them? And also one soundtrack file is missing. In "Inspired By" folder there is no track called "15 Marcin Przyby³owicz – 'Trial of Herbs' - 3:03". I have only 14 file but there must be 15. Tracklist.txt is saying that. I verify the game but nothing changed.

it's inside the ZIP file if you look, it can be extracted as you Windows can not create the name...special polish characters and such
