i don't get it, NOW you can DISABLE Autosaving in the game MENU, why don't you do that if you find it annoying?

yes, my mistake, i'll rephrase that :pYOU are making a ton of Quicksaves :pi bet that if it had only 4 Quicksave slots there will be people complaining here that since these days hard drive space is so cheap we can aford 20 quicksaves :p

First note, I'm not disappointed or anything with the enhanced edition so don't get that impression...but. I'm up to the start of chapter 2 and I have not seen one new character model yet. I am sure I remember them saying that they were adding additional character models into the game. Also one things I expected them to fix was how the game will lag for no reason during dialog, yet run fine any other time. Am I the only one with that problem, or is is global? Thanks.

Not a fan of quicksaves (makes it ezmode), but with PC gaming comes all the bugs and crashes, so quicksaving is a must.I still wish quicksaving only took one single save slot though. Having to delete them all once in a while sucks. If you want multple saves, then you'd do it manually (like most PC games).

What they did was add the character colouratiojn system. basically it means enemies hair, clothes and stuff with be a random colour. Sometimes it's fairly drastic changes and sometimes it's just the colour of a shirt being different.

Yes, but I also remember them saying that they were introducing completely new character models as well.

Those models can be found in the two bonus modules, IIRC.

i haven't found an "auto-loot", but if you ctrl-click on an object, you can dispense with the inventory screen (as long as you have space in your inventory) and you'll only see the icons drift by as Geralt picks them up :peace:

New character models is more or less the face lifting of the CDPR plastic surgeons for certain main NPCs like Carmen or Jethro. Both had many clones. Now they distinguish from their countless twins and have a new unique appearance.

Hi, I've got a couple of nits to pick. The first is simple: why is there no printed manual included with the US version of the Enhanced Edition? It seems like a completely pointless move; if I buy a collector's edition, why aren't I getting the whole thing? Is Atari just being cheap and trying to shave off a dollar here and there? It's frustrating that I'd have to import the game just to get the definitive version. The censorship is annoying as well, but I can deal with that (there are patches for this sort of thing, after all). The second question has to do with availability of the game; that is to say, it seems to be impossible to find in any stores. Although I don't know if the lack of availability applies to the entire country, I live in Toronto and it's been two weeks since the release date, yet I've been to over ten stores and absolutely nobody has it. This is a serious screw-up and I'm disappointed that the game's distributor would be so callous with its customers. Of course, it's not new for Canadians to get the short end of the stick; it's very common that you can't find a game until a week after its release date (Crysis Warhead took about four or five days to get to stores), but this is testing my patience and I'm getting sick of having to run between a dozen stores every day in the vain hope of finding an (incomplete) copy of the game. If anyone has any idea why there's a delay, how long it's going to be, etc. then I'd very much appreciate it.Note that I don't mean to bad-mouth CD Projekt; they make awesome games, and I'm sure they have nothing to do with this, but the game's international distributor has some explaining to do, both due to the delays as well as an incomplete "definitive" version for North American players.

There's a whole lot of little things like that, if you download the UK manual compared to the U.S. manual you'd also see that the UK pdf is substantially higher quality then the U.S. version. The U.S. version is nearly on the level of being such poor quality that printing it out would be a waste, where as the UK version is crisp and clear and "complete". Im speaking about the "enhanced edition manual".

That's pretty annoying. I don't have a credit card, either, so importing seems to be out of the question unless I can find a brick and mortar store that will do it. I shouldn't have to pay extra money or go to ridiculous lengths to get the proper version of the game, and while I will try my best to find it, I sure as hell don't like getting screwed over and will consider this episode when deciding to buy Atari's next game.I've now also discovered that the game's manual was removed from the US edition because Wal-mart didn't want to devote more shelf space to the game. Disgusting.

Other than the inventory and the villagers having some different colored clothing or others being bald, minor visual changes, etc. I haven't noticed a lot of changes. I'm also wondering if I installed the english language pack correctly. Couple questions.1. Isn't Mikul the town guard suppose to now have a beard?2. Are there any new key dialogue lines that stick out? Either in Chapter 1 or 2. I'm about to finish Chapter 1.3. Are there any new key changes in a character's appearance(the madam aka the head prostitute in vizima is suppose to look different right?) or a new quest in chapter 2?

Yes, it is possible. Though, the the text does not match exactly. :) Also, Russian voice over is bad ("actors" suck at intonations an just read the text without any expression). English voice over 100 times better. People say that Polish is very good too but it's not for me to judge. ::)

Hey there. I'll make good use of this topic to ask something that's been bugginf me for a great time now: Are the scabbards back in the Enhanced Edition? Please tell me that Geralt doesn't hae his weapons magnetically sticking to his back.... all the cool 'hold by the blade' sheathing animation shouldn't go to waste.

;D Aside from the immense quality boost I take the EE has brought, I had hoped that your skill choices would get blanced. (as in fire magic not waaay over swordfighting, rather complementary and allowing for intelligent combinations; and pure swordfighting having its advantages). Also, that the difficulty of combat would get balanced (no longer overall too easy, no longer a few strangely picked battles too hard). And again, I hope that the corresponding monsters don't go along with your level (which wasn't the case), that their power doesn't necessarily go on a straight slope throughout the game, as in you should choose your fights and pick their difficulties for the rewards... :p
