Enhanced Edition game bugs thread

1. I spoke to the reverend when he hands over the sigil ring in chapter 1. I had a full inventory and didn't receive the ring and couldn't get him to hand it over (however I did track down the old lady who has the ring after looking in a walkthrough).2. After buying some stuff from the order armourer I re-entered the sewers, did a bit of killing etc (cleared our the crypt) and on returning to the armourer he would no longer deal with me saying he could only deal with 'friends of the order'.

you can't have a full inventory, the quest items are in the top part of the inventory, separated from potions and suchdid you scroll the quest inventory left and right ?

Yes i klicked the quest inventory, but there is no ring, also there is enough space left in the quest inventory.I played along a while and after a some crashes and reloads I got the ring. The solution is:Talk to the old woman between the houses southeast of the village.Give her the wished potion of "white gull" (Weisse Möwe) and you get the ring.Whew!DK

Licaon_Kter, the Eternal Fire Ring is NOT a quest item. It is a regular signet ring which goes in you regular inventory... You need rest. :peace:For everyone out there who has lost their ring given by the Reverend:The old woman is called "Old Beggar", and, as DataKill75 said, will give Geralt the ring in exchange for a White Gull potion.Again, you'll find here in the village just south-east of the Church, not around the Church itself. And next time, remember to keep you inventory as light as you can, and use 'Alt' frequently to check if you've dropped anything

.. i figured it out.I'm using a Nvidia Vision 3D Set and after deactivating the stereo effect the bug is gone. It looks so awesme in 3D, i hope there is a way to fix this. My System (PCWizard) -> www.ev3.info/system.TXTPics:
In the picture it's going down but more often it goes up so you can see NPC behind objects.

playing enhanced with latest patch so far i have 2 scripting issues1. the quest when you escort gramps the cannibal. I got the quest and accepted to take him to the shrine of meleteli. He followed and then decided to run back to the swamp docks and woudnt budge afterwards (there was a battle and he fled in the clay pits). I tried to talk with him and he kept going on about the Underwater Yag or whatever they called (fish people) so i decided to let it pass, refresh ect and skip a a chapter to see if he resetted in some area. Now in the next chapter i cant find him anywhere at all, not even at his cannibal home.2. the quest with the lost boy from the brickmaker village, i found him in the caves, then informed vaska another quest about killing all the salamanda slavers for the brickmakers quest (as one of the camps was in the same area), then i was told that i had failed the lost boy quest after just rescuing him and about to inform her of his return? I should also mention there was no option beforehand to inform vaska about the missing boy i found in the caves.I am still playing currently with no other problems and progressing through the game, ill post them if i find any more.

#2 is a known bug, although usually there IS a chance to tell Vaska you found the lost boy before you tell her you freed the brickmakers.I haven't heard of #1 before; thanks for reporting it.

beat the game with full support of the order in my story. There is only 1 other scripting error and that is when you are the act in the forest and the lady of the lake.the scripting error isOnce the bandits attack the village and kidnap the peasants, you are forced to make a choice, you choose (or i chose to help the order as such) and then once you killed all the elves you can not enter any of the buildings making me not able to complete other quests. This really annoys me having unfinished quests and gets me all twitchy. I ask myself if this is part of the game it is very flawed. The fact they are asking you to help them save the villagers ect and respect you after the previous bank incodent it would be rather silly not to let you talk with the villagers after doing combat with them to prevent human loss of life. OR at least make it so you can buy or do a quest for the order regiment leader in the town,The best solution for this would to be to insert a quest for those who choose not to help either side (assuming order wins) and also have free acess to those who do choose to help the order.because of this bug i coudnt complete after 1. the basalisk quest2. the devourer questi should also mention all the doors were locked including the hostpital where the witch is and the inn, so you probally woudnt be able to do the other quests.

I don't think that's a bug; I think it's an intentional part of the game. You know how a lot of games have an endgame that's a bit different from the main game? Well, in The Witcher, every chapter has an endgame.
Once you tell the Reverend in the Outskirts that you've satisfied Odo, Mikul, and Harren, all of the other quests close off and you're in the Chapter I endgame, which consists of fighting the Salamandra in the cave, choosing between Abigail and the Reverend, and fighting the Beast. In Chapter II, once you tell Raymond that you're ready to open the tower, a lot of quests close off and you're in the Chapter II endgame, which consists of opening the tower and fighting Javed and the Professor. In Chapter III, once Triss teleports you and your allies to the Salamandra base, there's no going back and finishing up other quests in Chapter III. Chapter IV has a "no turning back from this point" switch as well; the only thing about the one in Chapter IV is that it's a bit less obvious when you're going to enter the endgame for that chapter.

it doesnt matter if its a bug or not it should be fixed. It makes no sense at all, and in my opinion lowers my opinon of the game. The fact that the ambush happens all of sudden without notice (unlike all the other chapters that have some sort of warning before proceeding) gives you no choice in the matter. Its not like you know when its going to happen if you play it the first time round hence the suprise.every game should let you finish the quests, its like having a piece of glass stuck in your foot having about 7 unfinished quests lingering on your journal unable to complete because the game buggered up on you. To me this is unacceptable as if your playing on hardest difficulty you probally going to need to finish these quests for exp (i will be doing hardest soon). It also means you lose about another 2 hours of gameplay.i forgot to mention there is a bug where the grand master when talking in a cut scene somwhere in burning vizima where he is walking continously into the king, then stops and starts talking as normal.
