They all seem to work, so should be correct.

CheersI have the first release of the game and decided to give this enhanced thingy a go. I've downloaded all pertinent files and re-installed base game (which is a normal UK version, I assume. Bought in Sweden - I selected the "English" language option during install) and went on to install the EE update. However, I get the following message after verifying my product key - before the patcher starts copying new files:"The language pack corresponding to the language version of the game already on your system was not found. Download the relevant language pack."Fair enough, I thought, and grabbed the new UK English pack from that nifty 1.14 download page. However, when I try to install that one I get the following message:"Please install The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Upgrade before installing %p"So... what gives hehe? I've scoured these boards for a while now and failed to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas what I might be able to do to fix this? =)

Hmmm ok, can you compare the checksum of your files with these please?http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=16920.0Oh, and also ensure you don't currently have any mods installed (uninstalling may leave those files in your game folder)I'll pass it on and hopefully there should be some kind of resolution forthcoming. Thank you for your patience :)

You need to have the language pack in the same folder as the Update. Then run the update, not the language patch.

Well finally got the files downloadedTwee_upgrade.exe = 953,772,216kbTwee_english_language_pack.exe = 479,293,928kb--------------------------------Getting the same failureFeature : CensoredComponent :File :Error : Catastrophic FailureHopefully this gets resolved soon. I purchased the game when it was originally released in North America and still waiting to play it! (LONG WAIT)Not sure how to do a checksum, any tips?

Hm, I do have both in the same folder. I did, however, rename the files. Think that might be the problem? That the installer can't find the proper language pack because I renamed it?If not - maybe I need to grab the US language pack instead of the UK one?Edit: Renaming the file seems to have been the problem. I restored its original name and the updater moved along nicely. Thanks for jogging my brain into motion hehe. =)

First attempt was with the original version patched to 1.3, and the second attempt was with the newly installed 1.0 version.

To generate a checksum, download: http://3d2f.com/programs/2-596-filecheckmd5-download.shtmlRun that on the files in question and it'll generate a file with an .md5 extension - open this up in notepad as it's just plain text.

still problems at installation with a critical error at localized.key

Yeah it turns out it does indeed matter. I edited my last post but you're too fast hehe.Thank you. =)

I have checked the size of my files and they are the same as they are supposed to be, so I really don't know what is wrong.

Check the checksum and try rebooting then. Also, redownloading from a different mirror sometimes helps.

The same. Russian version. Tried with the clean and 1.3 versions, re-installed 2 times including re-installing into no-cyrillic letters path. Never had any problems with 1-3 patches.Just checked checksums here http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=16920.0 , everything is fine.WinXP SP3 RU x32I have NOD32 wich i disabled fully (1 protection at a time) and only a windows firewall (which i disabled as well).Installation always stalls at localized.key, whatever that gives you. I can write what's in that file, if needed. No mods. And it's strange that some people say it says NotCensored, and some sy Censored (mine is first).

I have the same problem but with the german language version. So I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with the language pack. The checksum for the TWEE_Upgrade.exe is ok.Mine is NotCensored.
