i'm talking about enhanced edition patch, its language pack and its bug fix.i posted once, a man try to help putting up a 1.5 patch link but i need 1.4 before that.it's been 2 months since i open this website, try to download patches. i don't wantto be rude but to you, the webmaster, take a goddamn look at the download page.how can you mess up like this. i can't believe a good game has this kind of website.to others who want to download language pack from gamespot.com, the file from thatlink is incompleted, don't waste time to download 500mb for nothing.

You have to register your game before you can download the patch. To others who are having trouble: the link is there for most people. Do you have AVG anti-virus? The link looks blank for AVG users unless you turn off Web Shield.http://www.thewitcher.com/community/en/www/installation_of_twee_in_four_easy_steps.html

I bought the game when it just came out and played it to the end. Now I want to play it again but when I try to update it I get nonsense and get nowhere. How can I bring my game up to date? I am asked for ever older patches which seem to be unaccessible!!! I am not very good with computers and the Witcher is a great game but it has more bugs than a jungle!

:hmmm: maybe he want's the babe this and babe that version? As for 1.4, yeah.... you do have to jumpt through a number of hoops to get it. And it can introduce a blur glitch, which 1.5 should patch. But if you want to replay the version of Witcher with the odd slang english dialog... that all get's lost with the 1.4 patch. Inventory gets split in half, too.... Oh...and it can take about 3 hours for it to finish patching the game...

Got the patch 1.3. Now I have all kinds of trouble getting 1.4. I have heard somewhere I need a "download manager". :wall: :wall: :wall:My game is registered, I have 1.3 on and when I follow the "four easy steps" I end up in a Google Ooops! page. What is going on? Anybody can tell me? I AM doing the right things and I get nothing.[MOD]Use the MODIFY button[/MOD]

You can, you don't need to though. You said yourself you are not good with computers, so please excuse me if I assume that you don't know what a download manager is.A download manager essentialy is a program that helps you download a file, often enabling you to pause and resume a download during the download. It can be helpful but is not required. On to the patches:Quoting myself:

I presume you've found this site before: http://www.thewitcher.com/community/en/www/installation_of_twee_in_four_easy_steps.htmlAnd you mean that the links there don't work, right?Depending on your The Witcher version, you could download the !.4 Patch and Language files from another source. If you have the english version of the game try these:1.4 + Language + adventrues + fancy stuff : http://www.fileplanet.com/191956/190000/fileinfo/The-Witcher-Enhanced-Edition-Ultimate-Patch1.4 + Language +adventures : http://www.fileplanet.com/185053/180000/fileinfo/The-Witcher-Enhanced-Edition-Full-Patch1.4 : http://www.fileplanet.com/191853/190000/fileinfo/The-Witcher---The-Witcher-Enhanced-Edition-Base-PatchLanguage : http://www.fileplanet.com/191854/190000/fileinfo/The-Witcher---The-Witcher-Enhanced-Edition-English-Language-Files1.5 : http://www.fileplanet.com/202241/200000/fileinfo/The-Witcher-Patch-v1.5The links all say "English", so I'm not sure if actual "english" is meant or "American".In theory that should not matter at all.In addition, to circumvent the cries of "Fileplanet costs money", here a little help: Click on "Download now" from any of the files and then on the next site you'll see a (on the left) that says "Register for free". Then "Click here to register" and then the normal register stuff.Granted, the whole thing is well hidden, but in fact free.Hope this works for you!

This should get you up til 1.5 and then, if you want and have the US edition, you might want to get the Directors Cut:http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=25142.0Just for completness sake, the Directors Cut adds cut content from the US (and only US) version, such as a bare-breasted Morenn or even more revealing sex cards. If you have any other version, you should already have this stuff.

Enhanced Edition and Language Packs: http://www.sciagnij.pl/programy/0,93888,5675006.htmlPut the EE patch and your choice of language pack in a single folder/directory then update from that location.

"Copy" of message sent to tech support on Aug 2, 2009 - NO ANSWER as of Aug 16, 2009:1. Installed the Witcher Enhanced Edition with no problems. 2. In "Start" menu, clicked on "Start the Witcher Enhanced Edition". 3. Clicked on "Register game" and registered product with no problems.4. Clicked on "Check for updates", which was blinking, and was taken to: www.thewitcher.com/registration/en/www /patch.html?game_version=1.4.5.12805. Clicked on "Download the 1.5 version patch", and was taken to:www.sciagnij.pl/programy/p/Gry-Narzedzia_i_dodatki-Patche-The_Witcher_Patch/8902Page loaded ("done" in lower left corner of screen), but was completely blank (totally white).6. After several identically failed attempts to load the patch, Clicked on "Launch game", with the proper disc loaded in the DVD drive (verified via "My Computer"), and a small Atari window popped up stating: Please insert DVD of "THE WITCHER ENHANCED"!Repeated attempts to download the 1.5 version patch or to launch the game have ended with identical results. Shutting down and re-booting does not help.If anyone has any suggestions, please HELP!

There are several people who are having similar problems, though they seem to stem from several different sources. If you have AVG Anti-virus, this can interfere with your ability to download; the link looks blank for AVG users unless you turn off Web Shield. The link shows up fine for me when using Firefox. Some people have reported that Internet Explorer doesn't play nicely with the link and that Safari also has problems; one user was able to get it when using Opera after trying and failing with IE and Safari.Patch 1.5 is also available at the Witcher Vault; you can try there if turning off your anti-virus and/or using a different browser don't work: http://witchervault.ign.com/View.php?view=ToolsandUtilities.Detail&id=10

I used Google Chrome and it works like a charm. The browser has its own downloader software integrated and spots all code needed, with user permission of course. :peace:

Are there any mirrors for patches 1.4 and 1.5? It's taking forever to download from the given links on the main site. Is there one on Filefront or something?

Do you click on the link for the 1.5 patch and get a blank page? Do you wonder if the patch isn't really there?Yes, the patch is there; plenty of people have downloaded it with no difficulty. There are also a number of people who've had trouble with the download, though, so you're not alone. The two most common sources of this problem seem to be overeager anti-virus software and browsers that are trying to protect you from downloads, page redirects, etc., "for your own good." Both anti-virus software and protective browsers can be very useful, but they do get in the way when you're intentionally changing existing files on your computer, such as when patching a game.So the first thing you should do is turn off your anti-virus until you've finished patching. Do remember to turn it back on again when you're done!If you're using Internet Explorer, try a different browser for this download; a lot of people have reported good success with Google Chrome. If you're not using IE, check your browser's settings. Firefox has so many add-ons that it's very easy for one of them to "helpfully" block the very content that you're trying to download. Some people who have trouble with the main site have no problem using a mirror. There are five official mirrors listed; if the main site doesn't work for you, try one of these: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 MIrror 3 Mirror 4 Mirror 5It's not an "official" mirror, but the Witcher Vault also offers the 1.5 patch, here.Have you downloaded and installed the patch, but your game claims to be version 1.4.5.1304, not version 1.5? Relax! The names are a bit confusing -- Patch 1.5 installs Version 1.4.5.1304.From the FAQ:
Q: How do i know what game version do i have and what to do to update the game?A: To see your game version you can run the game in windowed mode by unchecking the Fullscreen check box in the Options -> Video menu in game, then press Accept, and the game version is written in the window title. If you have version:any version lower than 1.4.5 -> get the Enhanced Edition patch install it and then get patch 1.5 and install it too1.4.5.1280 / 1.4.5.1282 / 1.4.5.1303 -> get patch 1.51.4.5.1304 -> you have the latest patch installed
