This is ridiculous. I'm running Win XP 64 Pro, I have a retail copy of the game registered, the TWEE_Upgrade.exe file and TWEE_English_language_pack.exe downloaded. I even hash checked the files, which is an absolutely ridiculous step to have to take in order to play a game. After I validate I've registered the game with my username and password, when beginning the install at "d:\The Witcher\Data\localized.key" it gives me the "Feature: Censored", "Error: Catastrophic Failure" error, even on a fresh install of The Witcher. This occurs whether I have tried to run the patch in "Windows 95" mode, which is also absurd, as well as in Windows Safe Mode, as well as disabling my Firewall & making sure all of my Anti-Virus is completely turned off.The fact that you are trying to release a patch to a retail product, that does not work, even after all of that MD5 check, Windows Safe Mode nonsense is absolutely negligent. There are plenty of people on the web that are running into this very same, exact problem at this exact same moment, and at the moment there is no available solution other than "Acquire a Witcher: EE dvd, and install the game from there". Meanwhile, I have friends who have PIRATED versions of this game, which work automatically. Yes, people who didn't pay for the software or deal with the absurd MD5/Safe Mode nonsense can play the game. Why is this acceptable? Why can't I install a patch for a game I purchased, to make it playable?
