First off, I want to express my massive appreciation for everything you’ve done since the 2.0 Update and Phantom Liberty. Adding an entire district (Dogtown), the vehicle combat system, and the police overhaul has completely transformed the game. You've proven that you aren't afraid to dive deep into the game's core systems to deliver a legendary experience.
Because of these massive technical leaps, I am writing to request an Official Third-Person Perspective (TPP) mode.
Why this is the "Final Piece" for Cyberpunk 2077 before Cyberpunk 2:
• "Style Over Substance": Night City is all about aesthetic. You’ve given us an incredible character creator and a massive wardrobe of clothing, yet we rarely see our V outside of a mirror or Photo Mode. It feels like a missed opportunity to not see our customized character moving through the world we've spent hundreds of hours in.
• The 2.0 Foundation: Now that you’ve mastered complex systems like vehicle combat and hanging out of car windows to shoot, the technical bridge to a TPP camera feels closer than ever.
• The Modding Gap: While the modding community is amazing, unofficial TPP mods often suffer from broken animations or clipping. Only an official implementation can provide the "proper outcome" and the level of polish that Cyberpunk is now known for.
Even if TPP were restricted to non-combat exploration, it would add a massive layer of immersion and value to the character customization you've worked so hard on.
Chooms, if you agree, please drop a comment below so the devs can see how much we want this!
Thank you for continuing to make Night City the best city in gaming.
