I am pretty sure that CDPR will release Redkit 2 after they release all two expansions.
Which is around year away from now.
That'd be repeating same mistake as with Witcher 2 and it's redkit.
Exactly. Nobody would care anymore. I'm already at the point where I'm on my second playthrough near the end of the game and I just can't bring myself to play it anymore without new content/awesome mods, and when they finally appear it's gonna be too late

If this happens, I'm going to be extremely upset with CDPR.
The mods that have been released with just their small Modkit have been amazing. iHud, Lore-friendly witchers, lore-friendly silver swords, combat rebalances, that HD rock texture mod that makes me crave an actual HD texture pack, the mod that makes Cat not make my eyes bleed, Essenthy's brilliant lighting mod, and the mod that make's Ciri's hair actually more of an ash color.
All of this has been released in little over a week from the release of the Modkit and it really amazes me. CDPR can really build up a solid modding community if they just were to release a proper editor, but I'm having some doubts if they can/will release one soon. Fallout 4 is just around the corner and if there isn't a full fledged Redkit by then well...GG no RE rest in peace modding community.
To release a content creator, you need first to fix the bugs and the engine.
Bethesda always realesed their tools pretty quicly because they never fixed a shit. The community did it for them.
I just don't understand the hold up of releasing the REDKIT for Witcher 3. Moreover, the devs don't even wanna say anything about the progress of Redkit or if it's gonna come out or not. Why so mysterious CDPR?
You are absolutely correct. The problem is the "MODS" which will release with that Redkit is not actually mods but what had to be in game when game released. For me game is not only story. I am not reading a book. The graphics and atmosphere (it is good now too but I need that lighting in trailers) is not less important for me. If CDProject not showed me that amazing graphics and atmosphere I would have already bought and played it. Look at Mad Max. Absolutely "0" downgrade. The only game after may be 5 year not downgraded. Story is not even near to Witcher 3 but graphics is totally different world. And I will buy that game. Because what they showed us was in final game. Not less. Even more. They upgraded graphics billion time after cancelling old gen consoles.

Yes but the question is....are they even working on the REDKIT? That's what we would like to know. It seems they are busy with the expansions instead of you know.....fixing stuff.

They're doing both. Keep in mind 1.9 is on its way. I feel they have their plate full at the moment and they're no longer as open about certain things. So we just have to show interest in modding, download them, discuss them etc. Hopefully they get back to the REDkit later.
Hes surely asking for why the mod isnt out yet because Essy said that it probably will be out this week but that doesnt really mean that he CAN get it out this week. Perhaps this comming week.
