Interesting that you mentioned this. So this mod below was created by a modder who found a way to not only increase the rock textures (Which is not very noticeable) but what he did was found a way to increase the LOD distance of textures on those rocks so they don't turn into low res when you're further away.what i noticed in the 2014 demo is that ther's only 2 level of meshes lod, high and medium, you can clearly see the meshes loading but only 1 time, in vanilla ther's 3 level , low, medium, and high, so we gotta remove the low and replace it with medium and we're done with that, because with the mod you can clearly see way too far, and low level meshes are very noticeable
I mean it's just the first step. With enough time, it could be done.......at least the possibility is there.thats good news, it might work on the hundreds and hundreds of novigrad meshes lol
Do you need to change that manually? Oh god!thats good news, it might work on the hundreds and hundreds of novigrad meshes lol
Message to CDPR on the topic of REDKIT......JUST DO ITI think that extra publicity would help push the release of REDKIT2 once more people are made aware of what the game (could/should) looked like.
Yeah, I definitely agree to that! Lol. I'm not saying have a witch hunt by getting this mod more publicity to bash the developers, but big gaming sites behind this mod is a nudge in the right direction I think.Message to CDPR......JUST DO IT![]()
that's actually a good idea, and if it gets noticed on nexus, youtubers like gopher, or gaming websites would feature itYeah, I definitely agree to that! Lol. YEAH ABSOLUTELY. I mean, this thread has 41,000 views :0 that's pretty damn impressive IMO, for what little exposure it has. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere (to my knowledge at least) I found this cause I saw his Swamp Lighting mod on Nexus then browsed the posts and someone linked to this thread.that's actually a good idea, and if it gets noticed on nexus, youtubers like gopher, or gaming websites would feature it![]()
Oh trust me, the mod WILL be noticed by everyone including Gopher and Nexus. What Essenthy is doing is a revolutionary step in the right direction for Witcher 3 modding.that's actually a good idea, and if it gets noticed on nexus, youtubers like gopher, or gaming websites would feature it

THIS. As more and more people learn and get used to the modding tool, more and more mods will follow and hopefully get CDPR's attention enough towards a REDKIT release.which reminds me ! @essenthy , you really should consider writing some sort of tutorials related to the work you did in the form of text and video, then post them here or on a blog.
i mean, someone might be able to improove upon that knowledge and find new things, especially if some of them would be proficient coders. think of it as a "wikipedia" kind of thing, or maybe like the "compedeum of tweaks and fixes" thread, in the PC section of the forums here.
It's super easy, everyone can do it. Switch one file with another, that's how it's done currently. Also, hacking around files trying to change things where we're not supposed to change things.THIS. i know, but we literally worship you guys, and we think you're capable of great things. knowledge is power, no matter how little the amount of knowledge can be, and this thread, is proof of that. and who knows ? maybe some russian hacker would make a hacking tool to fully edit the files of TW3, especially the *.env ones, just by notcing this mod or this thread ^^It's super easy, everyone can do it. That's all that can be done, and without REDKIT2 nothing more can be done.
Don't get your hopes up to high.
Changing one thing, breaks 10 other. So that's where we at right now.
