[EPILOGUE] King of wild hunt?

I'm just curious about the drop from it (king of wild hunt 'the death ghost thing'), with the recipe and all.I mean, can you actually kill it earlier in the game rather than at the very end of the game thus making the whole recipe and drop rather pointless. Also as a suggestion for future add-on, maybe there could be an extra difficult level, like many other games (diablo2, jade empire).Would rather make use of gold skills IMO, you can beat the game without gold skills on hard.

Where abouts does he appear in Act 4? As I've only played that Act once but never saw him at any point or saw a way to see him.

At the druid circle in the fields (at night, obviously). I don't know if he always appears, or if you have to get the quest from the hermit first.

Really, I can ask the same question too: is there a possibility to drive out and kill the King of Wild Hunt before the Epilogue? It's kinda strange he's dropping a special ingredient which you are unable to use. Or was it perhaps meant to be different first but the devs changed the plot for some reason? I find the whole situation weird, in the least.

It also feels odd that he appears to interrupt your fight with the GM before you deliver the finishing blow, unless it's an aspect of the GM's personality as the other spirits were aspects of Geralt. I had Triss, Abigail, Toruviel, and Adda help me on my way up the castle climb (at least I assume it was the castle).

The odd thing that happened to me to the last battle was that the GM had me surrounded and i had only barely injured him and my health was droping dangerously so i druck some potions to deal with the fight better.... At that point and while i had done nothing yet the Master of Hunt proposed me to let him finish the GM !!!! I mean i was in far worse condition than him . I think i got lucky on that one. The battle hadn't gone so good for me and while i was thinking i would probabl have to reload in some time the King of Wild Hunt appeared to declare me as winner! :p

In Murky Waters part i remember trying King of the Wild Hunt, but he didn't suffer the silver sword nor fire or wind magic. Though, the Druid tells you about a "ritual" way to kill it. I have no clue about it. Maybe drink some special potion... ??On the Epilogue i fought him and after he got killed the corpse dropped some loot but i couldn't get it since GM was agonising nearby, stucking me in combat mode, forbidding me to loot it. Or am i wrong somewhere.. ?Enlighten me if you can just knockback far away the GM to get out of the combat range and loot in serenity, or other way...

Nope, couldn't get the loot from the wild hunt too, was prevented to by GM still nearby. Then teleported back when GM is killed.

Ok , i managed to loot it.I had to pull King of the hunt the fartest possible from GM and kill him there, against the wall.So i was actually able to loot it and he got a special ingredient, yes !The question now, is how to use it since i didn't get any receipe for it nor am i to find a fireplace available to create it (in the case there would be some receipe somewhere that i missed) after he's dead.

Possible there will be an extension/expansion were you continue after that fight. Just a guess of course I really have no idea.

That would be a totally valid explaination, maybe some unfinished content that had to be cut due to time/budget? Many games do that right? Then again, maybe you had to kill him at the plain somehow, or simply there to frustrate gamers.

I definitely noticed that some boss battles were completely rigged......I don't think you can lose this one.

Definitely there will be frustrated gamers... those who didn't kill the King and those who did but missed to loot the King (like me).@DolorianGratz for your King loot :) Even if you had an recipe and ingredients, after the King's death there isn't any possibility to use it anymore or fight someone.

I killed him in an earlier act, after powerlevelling my character by running in and out of crypts for hours. He dropped ectoplasm and vapours of the hunt. But there seems to be no recipe for vapours of the hunt.

I don't think it is possible to kill the king in previous acts...(either u mistake him or something is really wrong in ur statement)...the only place u may battle him is in chapter 4 in the fields but there is no way to damage him there, as the hermit tells u the only thing u can do is drop mandrake root on the altar thus preventing him from appearing there...otherwise he kicks ur butt completly...and yes as somebody mentioned earlyer u can drag the king near the wall and kill him there to be able to loot his body...special ingredient vapours of the hunt as mentioned before...there is no posibble recipe on this...but yes, as expected maybe it will be in the addon!!!

I killed him. As I posted in a previous post of mine, along with a screenshot. I have 2 vapours of the hunt after looting him, by dragging him far away from the grand master in the last battle too - along with the one from a previous chapter. http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?action=post;msg=229695;topic=5462.15;sesc=c92b98f880fd31478aa32dc821663acf I am in kalkstiens lab, with some generic alchemy reagents, in the visima burns chapter, trying to, by trial and error, find a potion recipe it is used in. If I hadnt killed him, I wouldn't be able to obtain the reagent that early in the game by any other means.Except maybe cheating. And I am willing to submit my save file for analyzation, for anyone that would suggest that.

Ok I belive u....I can not open ur link to see what it is there but it doesn't matter....u killed it but I think that it should'n be possible to do so because it is meant to appear at the end of the game....so this is a major bug....someone from CD reading this please explain if it is a bug or it is meant to be like this....though it is a paradox....ot does he travel through time as well....as it was suggested that other characters are doing ;D?
