[EPILOGUE] Unfinished quests (Spoiler)

After finishing the game (by choosing the elf side), and after taking the stuff from the Grand Masters corpse, I still have these unfinished quests:1.) Berengars' Secret (Phase: Berengar admitted that he worked with Salamandra. He should clearly pay for it.)2.) Frozen Reflections (Phase: Something ends, something begins...)3.) Identity (Phase: I realize now that Triss is the love of my life.)4.) The Paths of Destiny (Phase: The sword I received has a destiny od its own. Time will tell what that destiny is.)Now, I can understand about number 2 and 3 being vague (although I'd very much like to know if someone managed to finish them too), but what about 1 and 4? Are they supposed to remain unfinished?

I ended up fighting Berengar while elaving the island that the lady of the lake was on. I had 2 choices; 1. to not judge him or 2. to call him out on his choices, thus begining the duel. The others I can't help you with, don't know.

Damn it, I missed that :-\So when you fought Javed, did anyone come to help you? (Berengar did so for me)

I was talking about the fight with Azar Javed in the Old Manor ;)I never finished the Berengar quest, but Berengar came to fight alongside Geralt against Azar Javed.*All three that you mentioned + The Nightwraith (Celina was it?) came to help me on Icy Plains ;D

Did you kill Berengar? :)P.S. He did come and help me in the fight against Javed, and some other quest concerning him finished then, but not the one I mentioned above.

for me when you didnt have to judge barengar he ends up helping you fight that leader of salmandra forgot his name only problem is its nearly impossible to save him in that fight the leader stuns you alot and eventually just turns around and kill barengar :( tried like 20 times to save him but couldnt do it :(

I gave her the rosen necklace or something (the mortallis thing I got from the hermit) and she thanked me, only to then get a journal update that "I couldn't help celina". Three cheers for buggy quests!Oh well...I'm disappointed that your loved one isn't mentioned in the ending. I mean, it was one of the biggest decisions you had to make in the game (Triss or Shani), together with the other decision (order, squia'tel, neutral).Oh well...I loved this game. I think the ending is the best I've ever seen in a game. When I looted the Grand Master and I saw the talisman in his inventory (I had NO idea it was Alvin untill I looted him), a chill went down my spine and up again when I realized I killed my "son". Nearly got emotional. :p No... really..!

i think it's a bug. but i have the dentist's quest still on.And, yes that berengar is a bastard. He was a coward, i didnt wish to fight him, yet id rather shoot what i had to him in the face, thus starting the battle.

the dentist quest is almost impossible to finish...I mean...almost^^ as one of the tooth he needs are only present in chapter I and If like me you cleared all barghest skulls before movng to the chapter III...you will find an unhappy dentist in the executioner tower in chapter V, still looking for one kind of tooth^^ (a good laugh when I finally found him in chapter V^^). second time around I had one barghest skull in my inventory just for him ^^the differences between fighting berengar and not fighting him are the same in matter of fighting at the end against the mage....if berengar is alongside with you in the fight, he will die rapidly after hitting javed a couple of times. He you kiiled berengar, then you will have his witcher medallion and then Javed will have a small dent in his health bar at the begining of the fight as Berengar medallion will suck out some from him. some a small bonus in the two cases...my first time around i just had the dentist quest still on ..the second time around i was all done^^

Brenegar can be befriended if you choose the "I do not judge you conversation option." If you say that he says "I have a job to do" Which is to show up and try and help you kill Javed. He is a wuss and gets killed in like 3 seconds so I do not know what would happen if he survies but this finished this quest him getting killed. Kind of like Borimir in lord of the rings he regains his dignity through a noble death. on the identity quest I am stuck on the exact same part and have not figured out how to progress it, if you figure it out drop a post but I am stuck on that one as well.

If you don't kill Berengar you won't get the formula to the dagon sap mutation.Same if you don't kill vincent you don't get the warewolf fur needed to make the mutaion formula. Also there is a bug somewhere because sometimes you get the fomula for the Kersay or how ever you spell that thing that looks like a big crab that is tough as hell, the first 2 times I got a mutaion formula for the heart and the last time on hard i never got the formulaDoes anyone know how or what you are supposed to do with the prayer you get in the ancient crypt below the striga lair?I found an acient knights crypt there and found skellys on the wall but could never get anything from them and also found an ancient prayer of the flaming rose and it went into quest items but never got the quest

You can buy the Dagon sap mutation recipe from the hermit in the field for I believe 800.The Prayer you get in the crypt is for the Ravens armor quest if you chose to side with the Order. Neutral required the magic formula from the southern refugee cave and the Scoia'tael path requires a quest item from the mines. I ended up getting all 3 in my first play through and wondered the same thing, made sense on my second play.

I'm not talking about the elven mistrels notes, you get them in the stigas crypt as well and you don't need the ancint prayer for the armor, I'm talking about the prayer you find in the ancient crypt under the stigas lair, I have played it all three ways sided with all three factions and haven't needed it yet.

II'm not talking about the minstrel notes, you need those no matter what side you go with. But if your talking about St. Gregory's Litany (which you get in the ancient crypt below the Stiga by casting aard aard igni) it is required for the Ravens Armor quest if you chose to side with the Order. So you either didn't finish the armor quest when you went with order or you forgot.Thats the only "prayer" I can think of.Good luck.
