Eredin Bréacc Glas aka King of The Wild Hunt Alternate Look DLC?

For whatever reason you guys decided to change his armor design from this

To this....

Could we get a DLC that gives back his old appearance? You obviously have a finished, fully textured model somewhere, why not use it?

If not as DLC then how about uploading it somewhere so modders can swap it?

I think this is more interesting than half naked sorceresses (not that i dislike those) that don't fit well into most of the game.

I think they realized how silly and impractical the first one looks (those shoulder pads must weigh a ton, and even if they can potentially protect the head a little from horizontal swings, there are much more effective ways of doing that). And actually, Triss's dress didn't look that ridiculous to me, since I got it only after the Novigrad section, at which point she no longer faced prosecution, but probably still had some hopes for reuniting with Geralt.

They reused most of his body armor on the first WIld Hunt warrior you faced when doing the first quest with Keira.
So it had nothing to do with practicality, the new sorceress outfits are also not very practical but that didn't detain them from making them...

Basically the old armor looked much more menacing, it looked cooler and i want to see it in-game again.

They have it done sitting somewhere, they could just be nice and upload the files so modders could swap the model themselves.

I second that. Sauron Eredin was badass.

Eredin needs better writing, personality and more lines. His armor is okay as it is.

Edit: I almost forgot how great the VGX trailer looks like.

How about we stick to realistic proposals? And that's not what this thread is about.

I don't understand what's the point of coming here when you don't care about the subject, only to tell us that you don't care?

I don't care but i'm not opposed to the idea. I just think this is the least of his problems.

Given the limited screen time he has, hardly seems worth it

i disagree.. Eredin is fine as he is. It is great they didn't fall into common cliche of villains that explain their motives (which are pretty clearly established in books anyway).. plus, as Geralt, would you really want to hear his explanation why he wants to kill Ciri? What would be the point of such discussion? No. Geralt would kill him immediately there was a chance for it..

Yeap, he suffers from the "guys in armor" syndrome. Just a badly written & underdeveloped character.

Please make this C.D.P.R.! It would be absolutely incredible. I'd even pay money for it.

This is another shot of his previous armor (He's second from the left.):

Some-what related: who is that, second from the right? Just some run-of-the-mill Wild Huntsman?

there's a mod trying to achieve this already http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1319/?

however if you try it out, you'll probably see why the went with the design they did eventually.

I think adding an alternative Eredin armor cannot hurt. I understand why they changed it in the first place, it looked menacing IMO but wasn't what I'd consider ideal for fighting in. I secretly hoped that we'd get to see both armor sets in game. When we first see Eredin they could of utilized the original armor design, looked upon more so as a siege armor.

Then we could of had the current iteration that has become the final Eredin armor. If the assets are just lying around somewhere I see it as a complete waste to if not give the armor as a free dlc update or via a patch, then at the very least gift the assets to the community.

Throw us a bone please, hey whatta ya say @Marcin Momot :)

Well the assests (aside from the helmet) seem to be in the game already. If you look at Nithral's armor, it pretty much looks like what Eredin had in those promo shots. I've also seen people use the Aprearances mod to have Geralt look very close to what Eredin looked like :p but then again it's Geralt not Eredin. I suspect someone who's skilled enough could mod Eredin's appearance to merge together parts from Nithral's armor and other WH elements to get close to the promo shots but not sure if it would be worth the time and if it would any value to the experience - the WH has more glaring issues than Eredin's armor...bland characters, no background etc.

Then also Imlerith's armor must be silly and impractical. It don't looks like you are able to move a lot with that thing.
