Would you like to identify the source of that statement? Because it doesn't bear any resemblance to any quote from Sapkowski that has previously been discussed here.

He's known not to have been involved, not to consider the games canon, and not to have any interest in video games. Extrapolating that into your statement appears to be less than factual.

It's also not quite the same as you said some hours ago:

I was making a reference (that's why i put (sic) after "know") cause someone said that last night in this thread ( http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/32660-Eredin-s-voice?p=1479549&viewfull=1#post1479549 ), maybe i was not clear enough, sorry, english isn't my first language.

But that one in VGX trailer is not Eredin's voice.

I like it.
Imagine him talking with a normal voice, seriously.

1. People (who do not know) would soon realize it is just a normal being of flesh and blood talking to them
2. They might even discover which race he really is from
3. He does not at all seem dreadful if he talks in a normal voice

I agree it might be just a little bit exaggerated here and there, but I always liked the bad spectre/ dark lord voices if they are appropriate. The Witch King of Angmar is a good example for it. I wouldn't have found him half as dreadful if he would have talked in a normal voice. And the mere fact that Geralt knows what he really is does not mean other people are supposed to know as well. What the Wild Hunt wants to do is to instill fear on people so they can do what they came to do without encountering much resistance. They always make a spectacle out of it to keep their power and grip on the people they target.

So the voices reason is two-fold.
First to protect their identity. Second to instill fear.

I agree though that the VGX voice sounds the best, followed by the voice of the mage in the SoD trailer. I would have preferred if Eredin would have had the voice we heard in the VGX trailer and one of the other "main" Wild Hunt leaders would have had the voice Eredin seems to have in the new trailer.
The VGX voice just sounds more fear-instilling and more chills-down-your-spine, more superior and more evil rather than the "I am a big powerful grunt" voice of the latest "Elder Blood" trailer voice.

PS: I LOVE that epic sword-fight with Geralt and Lambert. That scene was badass.

Eehm, what? I don't get it. Where do they mention it's not Eredin? They're talking about the Wild Hunt. Eredin is the king of the Wild Hunt.

He confused the peasant in the VGX trailer with Eredin I think. The one who speaks second.

Eredin's voice

Apologies if there's another thread this should be posted in.

Anyway, we've heard what I'd assume to be Eredin's voice twice now. First in the VGX trailer, and then in the Elder Blood trailer. The Wild Hunt voice in the Sword of Destiny trailer I assumed was from one of the generals.

Here's the VGX trailer:

And here's the Elder Blood trailer:

While the VGX trailer has him with a harsh and metallic voice, the Elder Blood trailer has Eredin with an extremely deep sort of "demon voice." Personally, I much prefer how Eredin sounds in the first trailer. Far more unique and memorable, and gives him an otherworldly sound.

I like the first more too. Though, maybe it actually isn't Eredin's voice. There are other big members of the Hunt. Unless they confirmed it was him. Also, the second trailer may not be his voice either (The character he's facing seems to be this guy, yet he's talking about Geralt)

Yeah, I preferred the first one too. There was some discussion here about the first one being hard to understand, so I wonder if that influenced the change in filters.

Eredin in general is just more intimidating in the VGX trailer. His voice, the armor, the way he just presents himself in general is just menacing.

When I saw him in the Elder blood trailer my initial reaction was "oh that must be one of his lieutenants" in the Elder blood trailer he got nerfed hard.

I guess it's too late to change things but I would love a free alternate appearance pack for Eredin or something. They have it for Yennefer so why not give it to Eredin.

Yep, the VGX trailer sounds much more menacing and a bit inhuman, the Elder blood sounds just a guy with deeper pitch with some effects.

VGX, it's at least somewhat unique, in the Elder Blood trailer it's the most generic shit ever.

Yeah, the VGX is the best.He sounds like a wraith, who came back to the world of the living.(already sound cool)
The elder blood sounds like a heavy metal singer."We are the wild hunt and we will give the best metal concert what Skellige ever see yeeeea" .Somithing like that.
If it is one of the generals voice,it is fine,it would do fine for Imlerith in mí opinion.

I have this notion that the helmet is what projects his unearthly voice and when he pops it off you'll see this elegant, blonde elf staring back at you. Certainly they can't have him sounding like that without the helmet?

Oh yeah, the topic.

I too prefer his voice from the VGX trailer! His new voice (assuming it's his in the first place) just doesn't sound right to me. For Eredin the more outwordly his voice sounds the better, imo (while wearing the helmet of course).

Do we even know for sure that it is only Eredin speaking in all trailers?
