I can no longer play Cyberpunk 2077—now the game will definitely crash every time I play it for 30 minutes.

The problem first popped up after I installed a mod once. I deleted all mod files, verified the game integrity and tried again, yet the game still crashed.

Then I attempted reinstalling the game, updating my graphics card driver to version 591.74, and creating a brand-new game save, but the game crashed in every single case. Now I can’t play this game at all...

Here is the error report.

Hi,
To be sure your game installation is fine and there is no remaining mod data in the game files, you should perform a clean install of the game as explained here :
Keep in mine that if you created a save when mods are activated, mod data can also remains in the save files and cause issues. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to remove them. So if after performing a clean install you still encounter issue using your save(s), try to start a new playthrough to check if your issue still occurs :(

I tried this method. Unfortunately, the game still crashed, but the error message has changed to:
Error reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to read inaccessible data at 0x19812818302.

You should probably try to clean install of your drivers just to be sure and if it doesn't work, I suggest to contact directly the support for help after trying everything which is suggested ("contact us" button).
NVIDIA
I. Download the latest Game Ready drivers using the following link: https://www.geforce.com/drivers
II. Download Display Driver Uninstaller and run it to remove previous versions of drivers.
III. Clean install drivers that you've downloaded in step 1.
AMD
I. Uninstall your graphics drivers using the AMD Cleanup Utility software.
II. Download and clean install the latest drivers from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support

I used “Everything“ to search for and delete all files related to Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt and REDengine. Then I reinstalled the game, created a new save file and started playing. I’ve been playing for an hour now and it should no longer crash. Thank you so much for your help!!!

Also, try installing the Microsoft Redistributable All-in-One.

Be sure to install the x86 version followed by the x64 version.
