Family Matters - Bug, can not calm down the Botchling

Hey guys,

everytime I try to calm down the botchling (after the very first wave of wraiths) I can't do it because my only option is to talk to the baron. I tried to walk arround him, tried to aim at the Botchling but I can't use Axii on him because I can't target the damn thing. Is there any special move I don't know?

I play The Witcher 3 on a PC.

Load the game from the last checkpoint and try again.

I did that many times already. =/

I just faced it and triggered Axii but that was a few patches ago and something may have changed. I'm on PC too.

Made the quest today and I had no problem with using Axii on the baron. Just switch to Axii Sign and trigger it in front of the baron. I always hit the cursed baby.

Maybe you trigger the spell too long and using the alternate Axii mode instead of the normal one?

This sounds as though you're trying to interact with the Botchling ("E" on K&M). You should just be casting the sign. You don't need to target.

Just cast the Axii sign while facing the Baron. You don't need to get too close to him as well, I usually just cast the Axii right away, and Geralt turns to the Baron and calms them both down.
