Fan concept – a possible future Witcher saga set in 2070

The Witcher 26: Rebirth

A young man is created using Geralt of Rivia’s DNA. Due to the mutations and magical properties tied to Geralt’s past, he starts experiencing fragments of the witcher’s memories. Eventually, he manages to summon Geralt’s spirit, who begins travelling with him as a guide.

The world has changed dramatically – modern technology exists, including firearms – but monsters haven’t completely disappeared. The protagonist can use steel and silver ammo, Signs, alchemy, swords, and contemporary gadgets.

The main story eventually leads him to the discovery that Ciri has survived through the ages thanks to her ability to travel between worlds.

The Witcher 26: Mutations

Centuries have allowed the remaining monsters to adapt and mutate. New forms of ghouls, trolls, bruxae, and higher vampires have appeared, some almost fully humanoid.

The player could dig through old archives, uncovering books and documents from Geralt’s time – some accurate, others completely distorted by centuries of hearsay. Small emotional discoveries await, like graves of Shani, Roche and Ves, Eskel and Lambert, or forgotten records about the Lodge of Sorceresses.

A recurring theme would be the gap between recorded history and what actually happened.

Eventually, the protagonist finds Ciri as an extremely old woman. She recognises Geralt’s spirit at once. At the beginning of the final chapter, Ciri dies peacefully and is buried by the young witcher. For a brief moment, he sees two spirits – Geralt and a young Ciri, finally reunited.

The Witcher 26: The Final Farewell

The final game would focus on the young witcher without Geralt or Ciri to guide him. He must investigate the last remaining secrets of the past: the fate of the Lodge, forgotten sorceresses, the origins of new mutations, and attempts to recreate witcher mutations using Geralt’s DNA.

One smaller, emotional side quest could involve finding Triss Merigold’s grave – with someone secretly leaving flowers there. Eventually, it would be revealed that Triss herself is still alive – now incredibly old – and has been visiting her own grave for centuries so no one would come looking for her.
