Looks awesome. I'm a bit confused as to whether this is truly a full sized game or an expansion.

I don't know why are they witholding any official info(including the gameplay videos)since this standalone title apparently is out in just over 20 days...I wonder is it intentional...

So... apparently Uplay changed something and it became possible to use some exploit and download a bunch of games from their servers for free, including Blood Dragon. Which is apparently finished? I guess? I imagine that's how those videos are floating around. Also explains why they keep going down so fast.

Another day, another instance of DRM totally stopping and definitely not aiding piracy.

Game is actually quite fun, I'm afraid I might have to buy it when they release it, provided it's not too high a price.

Great soundtrack and Michael Biehn! Have to see if they have fixed farcry 3's save system then I might buy this.

I can imagine there's a lot of inter-publisher cursing going on right now. As one article put it, it's one thing when Ubisoft screw up and damage their own business, but when they start to mess up with everybody else's business too...

And I think it's hilarious. And it'll be interesting to see if it actually HELPS sales, because of the extra publicity. But even if it does, nobody will ever admit it.

Personally, I think it'll boost their sales. Hell, I don't buy most of their games, but they got me for this one. It could be this leak was intentional, much like people speculate the one for DEHR was too, when the press version demo was released on torrent sites.

If it had just been the one game, I'd agree that it could have been deliberate, but because it's so many games, and Uplay, I'm pretty sure it was a screw-up.

Oh, I didn't know it allowed other games to be downloaded. I figured it was just this.

Check out this article. With that said I'm looking forward to it :D

I agree, at times everything doesn't have to make sense, there is joy in the stupidest of things too, well as long as you don't overdo something, which precisely what most people do these days

I don't think it's a case of overdoing/not overdoing something so much as doing something unusual. Games used to have a lot of weirdness, so realism was interesting because it was a radical departure from the norm. Now realism is what everyone strives for, so over-the-top stuff is different enough to be interesting again. It's basically escapism from escapism.

Here's hoping the leak persuades them to release the game earlier. May feels an eternity away.

That might be a way to put it, doing something unusual rather than something resulting it that way in a negative sense. It's already up for pre-order on steam so don't think will get it before that :/

RPS has their hand-on..on.

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/04/11/hands-on-far-cry-3-blood-dragon/#more-149086

"It’s everything fun about the ’80s. It is desert chrome and crappy cut-scenes, RoboCop’s sequels and Terminator’s music, silly names and apocalypses happening to apocalypses. And for some bizarre reason, they’ve made it into a Far Cry 3 game that has nothing to do with any of the previous Far Crys. "

I was so wrong. SO gloriously wrong. Yay! REX POWERCOLT FOR PRESIDENT.

Heh. Amusing Blood Dragon convo with Michael Biehn.

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/18/biehn-there-done-that-a-far-cry-3-blood-dragon-trailer/

It's..not safe for work.

"You aren't the usual muscle-bound 80s action here I...usually masturbated to."
Creative Director speaking to Biehn.

So. Go watch.

As I watch this I am reminded somewhat of...Duke Nukem back in the day. Funny irreverent and lots of explosions.
