None of these, I think the Operator was the hardest and best boss in the game.

EDIT: I see you added him to the list, nice. ;)

I chose the Kayran. Simply because i haven't seen the old E3 gameplay videos before, so when i first saw that thing, it was spectacular impressive! You immidietaly feel weak and lost, when you see the size of this huge monster. I also think he is the hardest of all bosses.

You also get teased of what this creature could be in the quests before, and when you finally approach him after all your preperations, its simply awesome.

The guy/thing/whatever guarding the Forgotten vran sword on Iorveth's path. Here's what happened when I first went through this part:

"Hmmm, this room is suspicious. What's that statue of? The Lizard from Spiderman? Oh, and a sword! Wait, someone appeared behind me! And he looks like the Operator! Attack attack attack attack! Take that! Wait... teleporting? Friggin' pansy. And sending wraiths at me? Weak. I hate wraiths."

Then his health went down a bit:

"Ha, this is actually pretty easy compared to the Operator. Wait, why is the floor glowiHOLY HELL HE'S EXPLODING THE FLOOR UNDER ME DODGEDODGEDODGE--*game over*--fffffffffuuuuuuuuuu"

So unexpected, and I loved it.

Then I was not the only one that got taken by surpride by him! Little difference is that I survived, even in Dark, with no visible health left, but still, it was one interesting fight. ;)

Kayran. Because I could prepare for him properly, like a witcher. Ask about reward, make traps, potions, debate strategy with Sheala, Cedric. It was mentioned by a lot of people and put perfectly into the plot and world. It just had perfect build-up to it.

Letho 1. Followed closely by the dragon.

Unless we consider the "fuck it, let's just part ways" option a bossfight, then it's Letho 2, heh.

Otherwise, I always find the second Letho encounter is too easy (his stats are clearly still the same, so Geralt is overpowered), the Kayran is dumb and belongs in a God of War game, and the Draug WOULD be a great fight (it sure is terrifying at first) if it wasn't for the fact that you can stunlock him way too easily.

If it seems like I'm being overly negative, bear in mind that I'm generally not a big fan of bossfights anyway. I do enjoy the first Letho fight everytime, though. That's a bossfight where I feel like I'm actually putting to use what I've learned about the combat against a foe that's more powerful than anything else I've fought so far. Y'know, the way a bossfight is supposed to be.

Kayran for me, simply because it follows what a Witcher should do; i.e. research the creature, get tools to fight it, negotiate price, collect a lot of useful swag off of it, ect. Plus, when you first see the thing you can't help but think "Oh shit..."

Damn, and here I thought I had seen most of this game. I should have saved my multiple playthroughs for the Enhanced Edition... grr!

Well, guess I'll have to give it another go.

Oh, you should start another game with EE.

Not only are there a number of new sections (mainly in Act3) - there is lots of expanded dialogue that was not in the original. Even though you know the story from playing it previously, you do get a more in-depth background into what is going on.

The Kayran was a really straightforward and easy bossfight. It didn't really feel quite overpowering in my first playthrough. The Draug was the coolest until I realized stun locking with Yrden was the easiest weakness it had.

I never actually thought about Draug as a boss. I just Aard his ass like every other common enemy and thats it.

I voted kayran, but not for the gameplay, but for the aforementioned buildup, it really sold the experience to me. In terms of gameplay letho #1 was the most satisfying by far when I finally beat him, though I head to rely on a tactic I saw in a cutscene for the second part of the dragon fight (I noticed geralt draw an attack then roll backwards immediately to set up his counterattack, oddly enough it works like a charm) so that fight felt pretty good too.

Also the hidden fight with the vran sword was a very nice little side boss. The draug was a little underwhelming, I didn't even aard him, just dodged his charge and he was wide open way too easy.

My vote is the Draug, because it was unbelievably easy in contrast to the unbearably difficult and almost impossible earlier parts of that fog quest.

I hated the dragon, too repetitive and long that it got boring half way through. I never fought the operator. Letho, 2nd time, was too easy. 1st time was easy too. I liked the Draug, was a mix of easy and hard for me, not too long. Was just right.

odd, most people prefer the boss of an area to be harder than the region it lies in, and what gave your trouble in the fog? You just had to stay with the owl and it did most of the work for you, just had to drop some wraiths every now and again (while evading draugnirs, but they're fairly slow)

In TW3 they should copy Boss fights from Dragon Dogma. DD has best boss fights I ever seen in RPGs. They are engaging, non-repetitive and epic in good way.

I believe we're talking about different things. This isn't when you're in the fog with Phillipa, but when you're sent in to remove the curse on the battlefield.

When you're removing the curse, you take control of past soldiers in the war. The parts of that quest which involve fighting (not as Geralt) are unbearably punishing -- unless you play the path of the Swordsman. I'm not sure whether this quest has been made easier in the EE, but I'll see soon enough as I'm doing another Alchemist play through.

At the end of the quest you get Geralt back and fight the Draug, which is insanely easy because well I've got Geralt back lol.

The kayren wins!? Are you guys serious? It was a spectacle yes, but the least tactical fight in the whole bloody game.

I think it's winning due to the buildup, not the actual fight, the manner in which it was presented was fantastic from a storytelling perspective, and given that most people play the game for the story first, action second, it's hardly surprising that it's winning

@steelbom
Ah, yes I had riposte during that section and I fell back on it quite a bit, I can see how that section would be hell without it, my objection is withdrawn
