The kayran because i was sooo bad at at the game and had skipped all the side quests and gotten no new gear at all so i probably died like 25 times on that boss
and i had a really bad computer back then so it took like 5 minutes to load the latest save
so i was kinda happy when i finally killed it almost the same feeling as some of the old boss kills in WoW :)

Letho first time, followed by dragon.

Kayran had interesting lead up but the fight was a major let down and it felt like all the preperations were pointless or actually hurt me in the long term. All in all I consider this boss fight the biggest failure as its pretty much rinse wash repeat "fight" style, where the actual challange is, is your system able to get past the lag in the qte. (not to mention the fight ends with geralt pulling a previously unmentioned bomb out of nowhere)

Most Challanging would actually be the Operator though. Fight got easier though once I decided just to stall between the first and second wave of gargogyles and use quen to recharge blizzard... err heliotrope the fight lost a bit.

Druag was a bit of a challenge until I realized its weakness to yrden.

2nd Letho is really more of a reward battle than a boss battle in my opinion and kinda easy if you took magic tree, since you can just run around the fountain thing and use yrden to open him up for a barrage of igni or open him up for sword attacks.

The dragon was epic. The way it crawls around the tower, the sheer strength of it, and the fact that you don't have to kill such a magnificent creature... brilliant!

The Kayran, the build up, and the spectacle with Sile summoning him, that was definitely the most satisfying.

The Operator isn't very difficult at all when you know the trick, it's just annoying at takes a long time: don't use your steel sword, use silver sword only. With a silver sword he summons gargoyles less often, and you don't fall over when you hit his Quen.

The first Letho encounter is my second favourite, I still think it's the most difficult fight, but the talk before and the dialogue during the fight, great.

Wonder what this would look like if people were voting based on just the boss fight and not boss fight plus lead up. Seems the majority for Kayran are voting for it based on lead up and not actual "fight".

Oh, Oh!, I can decide by myself without looking at the outcome, you know

The Operator is the best designed boss fight in the game. Draug is perhaps the most epic, though seeing Saskia rise above the tower, and then dive bombing and scrambling around the sides with surprising agility is pretty damn cool. The fights with mages and soldiers are always a challenge and well designed.

Well considering that I chose not to fight Letho a second time and I wasn't even aware of The Operator  I was limited to fewer choices than most. Still, fighting Letho for the first time was pretty awesome!

My favourite was the one I had less trouble to win, and that was Kayran.
Why there is no poll for "Your worst nightmare boss fight"? I would vote for the Draugh with close eyes. Hate that thing, he gave me the creeps.

Have to go with the Operator, mainly because it's a butt-crushingly difficult fight, probably the hardest one in the game. The first Letho encounter gets an honourable mention, since it's also pretty challenging. :)

Letho the first time. I found it fun and challenging gameplay wise (first time around at least), but more importantly than that, because of the ambiance, build up and denouement of the duel and the first Act.

The Kayran! It felt like a boss fight and had a great build-up to it. But I have top point out that there are not as much boss fights as I would've liked. Maybe there should be more epic boss fights. And by the way, who is the operator?

The Draug and the whole eternal fight was really atmospheric.
I was almost scared when the game showed me what I was supposed to be feared of all this time.

The two Letho fights. It was nice to face off against a real opponent instead of just some wild beast or mystical creature.

The kayren wins!? Are you guys serious? It was a spectacle yes, but the least tactical fight in the whole bloody game.

This is true but there's been a lot of good reasons posted on this thread on why that fight is awesome.

One of the reasons is the whole build up to the kayran. There's a reason to fight it, there's a reward. There's a suspense in seeing the thing for the first time. The fact that you can actually appropriately prepare for that fight like a real Witcher is a nice change of pace and truly immersive. I love that fight.

I think I voted for Letho 1st time. That will stay with me for a while. It was just so chill and non-explosive. It's not grand nor really downplayed. It's just perfect. They're chatting while fighting, there's tension because if you catch him, the mission is over, you can return to living a "normal" life. If you don't defeat him and he escapes, well the rest is history. But as you fight him for the first time you're not really sure what's going to happen. You're fighting the guy who by all right should be the last boss. It's jarring and confusing as hell. I love that boss battle :)

Yeah exactly, who the fuck is the Operator :p

I missed him on my playthrough and seeing everyone talking about him is a little annoying. I hate missing out on content! :(

Would the Operator be classified as a "superboss"? I never fought him..
